We are going to use all of our Thanksgiving leftovers if it’s the last thing we do! We are making a freeze dried thanksgiving …
How can I purchase your divider for the trays?
I boiled my turkey bones and skins to make a nice broth, refrigerated it over night skimmed the fat layer on top off, then filled 3 large trays and had shredded dark meat on 2 other trays.
I put the broth through a processor came out awesome and packaged it all up today. Perfect broth for rehydration the turkey as well.
Ha ha! We call it a casserole, the British calls it Shepherd's Pie. 😊😊
Turkey is already in the freeze dryer. I bought extra stuffing w/plans to freeze dry it too. Interesting casserole idea though.
Try making your own instant coffee in the freeze dryer.
I would like to see somebody save some and open it every thanksgiving to see how long something with some fat in it would last.
Oh yeah, love your new kitchen assistant! He's handsome!
Might have to try the yogurt cranberry combo. All I can think of is a sandwhich they make at a local deli here in southern Vermont. Chewy bread, can't remember the name of it maybe… ciabatta, mayo, dressing, big slabs of roasted turkey (not deli meat) and layer of cranberry sauce. Oh man. Love that sandwich. And also reminds me of a Friends episode, Ross called it "The Moisture Maker". I think.it was a piece of bread soaked in gravy.
Anyway… how about a layer of green bean casserole in there? With some added French's onion bits. Mmmmm.
Brian…my guy. The stuffing and the turkey is straight but the yogurt on the turkey…oh hell nah😅
Just eat them as leftovers. they will never again be better. Complete waste of time to put the energy and effort into an awful lot of time and money into pretty stupid stuff on this channel, NOT ALL OF IT by any means. but freeze drying all of the "Stuff you do is ridiculous! You will never eat all of the stuff you have already done.
So you took the weights of the trays before, and after you freeze dried them. So the difference between the weights is the water that has been removed. Divide that weight by 10 because you put a tenth of the tray into a vacuum sealed bag. Convert that weight to volume and that becomes how much water you need to add.
Why did you use yogurt instead of gravy? Does gravy not FD ??
Max is adorable. More max in your videos. Made a casserole to freeze dry eve don’t eat cranberry sauce so I used sweet potato casserole in its stead. Also freeze dried green bean & broccoli casseroles
When family left after we ate, they took most of the leftovers with them. ☹️
I was just loading my trays with leftovers. I'm not making a casserole but just doing Tetris fitting in each item. Love Max helping you out with the taste test.
Well, half the comments have disappeared. I went to reply and there is nothing to reply to.
Looks, yummy, but no leftovers
three words: cranberries, pineapple, walnuts. Blend together, chill and thank me later (okay, Thank Fred Meyer's [Kroger]… 8)
Great idea! Love seeing Max!
Max is a great assistant!
Love cranberries, send them my way. Anxiously awaiting the announcement of your newest product.
