At first I thought it said how to freeze dry humans… You can't freeze dry people, of course. The racks are too small. Maybe if you took the trays out, you could freeze dry a baby.

Probably doesn’t fit to this video, but wanted to ask if you have any recommendations on how to reconstitute FD raw chicken, I have a lot of trouble with it, it stays “styrofoamy” and dry, while soaking in water. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, would be happy if you could help! I have a load full of FD raw chicken 😫

I have been researching the harvest right freeze dryer and have watched many many many videos including yours. One question I have seen multiple times but it’s never been addressed by anyone is “ does the room that the freeze dryer is going to be used in need to be climate controlled?”. I have seen two posts that suggest the room cannot be hotter than 72° is this correct?
I tried reaching out to Harvest right but because I do not have a freeze dryer yet and cannot provide a serial number I cannot submit a ticket with my question. I think this is something you can answer for someone else who sees this and has knowledge of.

I'm surprised you didn't add extra liquid like when FDing tomato paste so it has something to pull out and doesn't turn out like a brick, but it obviously worked well.

I’ve done hummus a number of times quite successfully. The tahini is not a problem and I use chicken stock for extra liquid. I powder it in a food processor after it’s dry and store in a Mason jar. I add water by feel and then add some olive oil at the end before serving.

I do not understand why people would go through the work of freeze drying food when you can simply go to the supermarket and buy whatever you need whenever you need it. What am I missing here?
