Thank goodness you used stock so many people just use water,
I cook stews regularly and in quantity so I can freeze loads and I never use water that's herecy, as opten as I cook stews I cook stocks a demi glass just as often and freeze it,
The store rough stock pots basically have almost zero meat content,
Cook stock for yourself people it's easy and cheap and you will never look back

Here in the Philippines, beef and lamb are rare and quite expensive compared to other meats. So common Filipino folks rarely cook them for foods, and if they do, only in special occasions such as in feasts (𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘴) and other celebrations. The more common here cooked in stews are pork, chicken, and, occasionally, goats and carabaos (the native Philippines water buffalo, the meat of which is akin to cow meat in quality and taste). 🇵🇭🇬🇧🇮🇪
