Flo, you can make this with nut milk, as dude is sensitive to "cow". Coconut/almond milk is my favorite and I add a little orange and vanilla flavor. Speaking of bacon, try it with maple sausage links rolled up in the pancake… yum! blessings to all

Pancakes along those lines are my favorites.  Thin and somewhat crepe-like and not filled with air like the fluffy syrup sponges one generally gets at 'pancake house' restaurants.  The version I make is called Lawless Larry's pancakes, in homage to their creator.  Liked everything about this presentation except the maple-flavored syrup.  My taste buds cannot abide anything that is maple-flavored.  However, I'm perfectly attuned to SPAM, just like Dude!   ;^)

It's been years since I've made these. Last time was propably when I made breakfast for the people at our town hall. Didn't really feel like making anymore since that but maybe I'll whip up a huge stack next week 🙂

I use high heat. It makes lettu more grisby and thinner. Cooking that way is fast operation and it is helpfull to use sportdrink bottle to quiqly and neatly dose right amount right after butter. Just time to lay down the butter knife.

There are two things I love dearly about your videos:

    1. The message of 'simple, ordinary, joyful' – I have the tendency to get a little over-the-top in my thoughts, emotions, and everything-else – the way you seem to just…'be' is very inspiring, to me (as someone who is 'volatile', to say the least). You have inspired me to try harder to try less. I hope that makes sense?

    2. The partnership you have. It's so, so clear to me that you two are just content to be with each other, and it really gives me a sense of warmth, too. My parents have been together for nearly 40 years, and they have similar sense of calm. The way you laugh so freely and opening and genuinely at 8:58, Flo, at what Dude has said, just makes me so giddy to see.

Thank you for what you do, who you are, and how you revel in your fortunes – tangible, and intangible.

As a Finn living in Finland this concept of Finnish pancakes confuses me. In Finland we call those "lätty" or "lettu" and a pancake is a completely different thing. The pancake we make, pannukakku (Google it for an image reference) is made in an oven. I'd recommend you to try that also!

Add cinnamon and sugar! Then u roll them up, we call them ponacookers(not how it's spelled) and is a Icelandic version. In Ukrainian we put a sweet cheese filling fold them like a envelope and fry them in butter and eat them warm, for fill with ground meat for savoury dish!

Does that batter tighten up if it sits for a minute? Does the consistency change as you start cranking out the pancakes?
I wish I could hit the thumbs up button more than once.

Don't tell me that I am the only one who thought chopsticks were going to be used. I love pancakes, flapjacks, griddle cakes, and any other name they go by. They are sooooo good and yours look like perfection!

A Finn dropping by. You nailed the recipe! We usually eat them as a dessert or with afternoon coffee, not as a breakfast. Also, the traditional toppings would be strawberry or raspberry jam and whipped cream, sometimes vanilla ice cream! Cheers!
