I was born and raised in San Mateo, Isabela but I left my hometown when I was 14 years old.  I've been in the US for 38 years but every time I go home for vacation, it's always difficult to leave.  I love the simple traditional foods like tinolang native chicken with green papaya and malunggay, grilled catfish and tilapia (the Asian Markets here in Seattle used to sell small catfish but I haven't seen them for the last 3 years now).  We have a ranch and when we butcher a cow, I love the cow skin in the papaitan or kilawen.  I love BOPIS.  Unfortunately, they don't sell beef lungs here in the US.  And of course the fresh fruits and vegetables.  Our house is in the barrio and our backyard is full of fruit trees and vegetables.  You pick them when you eat them.  Thank you numutv for showing us the "FOODS IN ISABELA".  HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON ISABELA!
