I have followed your sourdough starter and have been keeping it alive for 5 months now. But in very interested in milling my own flour. Where do you find wheat berries? I would love to know.
I absolutely love your channel and also farmhouse on Boone. You both have such great recipes.

When I was 11years old my pastor preached on "all things in moderation". That really stuck with me. I have since tried to eat the foods God has provided, minimally processed, organic and as close to home as possible. Which for me is right out the back door for many of the fruits and vegetables I eat.
So many of the touted diets don't live up to the hype or they are out and out found to cause problems.
The reason God calls us sheep is because we are so gullible and are willing to follow along after any and all pie-in-the-sky promise. Think about Eve.
I enjoy many of the youtube channels. Yours and your sisters. Altho, sometimes I find myself a little envious at all the conveniences you have. 😊 God bless.

very nice video, but you girls really need to invest in a much larger cutting board that you can just leave on the counter. I got one years ago and it help my cooking game so much!

Okay wait. You had me shook at the 3 full blown from scratch meals per day. But then you just said you also make your own soap and shampoo from scratch?? My mouth hit the floor. I feel like I barely have time to shower and put one solid meal on the table. God bless you!! Maybe I need to stop watching you and your sister so much and I’ll have more time to do all the things 🤣🤣

My husband would stroke if I changed that much. I don’t t have to be near him to know what he’s doing, how he is dressed or what he is eating. He likes the same routines with no changes. He’s so predictable.

Hi Lisa! I've also been researching diets and nutrition, as well as natural medicine, for years now! My family is doing animal-based now, only meat, eggs, raw dairy, some fruits and fruit like veg like squash. My eldest son is autistic and he, I and my 3.5yo daughter all struggle with anxiety. This diet has taken that away! I've also been struggling with health complaints like joint pains, POTS, and digestive issues, so doing animal-based with lots of meat stock and homemade ferments has been a game changer! Over the holidays I started some sourdough up again and all the issues unfortunately came back so it's back to animal-based now…

Thank you for the beautiful video! I'm also ordering soap-making ingredients soon! Can't wait to learn it!

Ok you made me so nervous with that lye! I'm over here like if I spill one tiny granule I freak out and honey you were just whippin' it around and getting wild! lolol. I mix mine outside bc I get so scared about the fumes, too. It made me smile/laugh to see you & know I'm prolly over-reacting just a WEE bit about it *ahem*.

I love soaping with goat milk… it's such a relaxing ritual (ok except for the lye part for me clearly LOL) and SO worth it! There's no soap like hand-poured and cold-processed IMO.

I want to try sourdough but don’t really eat bread; I love homemade bread but don’t eat it because of weight gain. However I hear sourdough is better. Still haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet. I too have done keto, whole 30, no sugar, etc. It’s overwhelming sometimes to decide what is best.

I do try make a healthy choices, but like you said, I don't lose sleep over it, since we do eat healthy pretty much 99.9 rest of the time.

Know the feeling! When we had our snow/ice sun several weeks ago it was 5 days before anyone could come up our drive or we could get down. We live in the mountains, up on a hill, wayyyy out in the country. I love watching you prepare meals for your family, and your recipes with us! Always enjoy!😊

I was considering subscribing to this channel, but after watching several videos I was fed up with the obligatory sales pitch for something, coz we don't have to put up with enough adverts from Youtube so no subscription here.

Love your channel Laura ! I also love when you melt butter in your cast iron skillet. Lol Funny little pleasure. I just made 100 percent Coconut oil soap with a 20 percent super fat. I make a cleaning bar with no super fat , but for hands and shower the high super fat of 20 percent makes it great. Really love this batch !
