I pressure cook all my pasta for 2 minutes and let natural release for 2 minutes with the pot turned off, and it's always perfect. The only time I will cook it for a longer time is if the meat (chicken, or beef chunks) needs a bit more time.

I have another tip for the vent on your instapot, get a 1 1/2 elbow pvc pipe from the hardware store and it allows you to direct the steam and direct it sideways instead of up. I think it works awesome keeps steam off my cabinets:) be blessed

I am trying this right now. I set it to three minutes and it's getting up to pressure. Fingers crossed. Just used ground beef, sauce and spaghettini noodles as those are my favorite. This is either going to be a disappointment or life changing as I love pasta. I just got my Instant Pot a couple of weeks ago and this is around my 3rd or 4th time cooking with this.

    Edit – TOTAL FAIL! 😂

Best way to break up ground beef? Take your wooden or bambo utensil that that’s flat. Break your beef up. Keep moving it in the pot. When it is heated through. Use your mashed potato masher to Brest the beef up better.

I made a similar dish for my family and friends a few times in a rice/multi-cooker, but since we don't eat beef, I substituted that with ground chicken, turkey, vegan meat crumbles, fish or I used chopped up chicken breasts. I just grabbed my multi-cooker and added seasoning, fresh chopped up vegetables/herbs, olive oil, meat, sauce and pasta or rice, I put the ingredients in layers like a lasagna.

I would add a little water into the pot and jiggle it around a bit, next I close the top and set it either to 35 or 45 minutes depending on what type of rice or pasta I was using. I then go and relax or take care of anything I have to do around my house and in 35 to 45 minutes dinner is ready, the aroma that fills your house is so amazing as it cooks.

Hi Flo, I am new to your channel, love your casual approach. An old chefs trick is to pour all liquids over the back of the spoon, it won't splash. Thanks for your videos.

I'm so glad I saw this! The times I tried to do pasta in my IP, and thanks to you I know why it stuck together (didn't stir it enough or add enough liquid), burned on the bottom (too long of time), and splattered all over(wooden spoons FTW!). Awesome! I can't wait to give it another go- and that looks like a great bolognese, too! Thanks!

Those 256 dislikes need to go somewhere else with that. This recipe is another masterpiece and actually going to make me go out and buy the Instant Pot and learn to cook with it from these amazing videos.

That was a great experiment. I'm going to try it. If those chopsticks are wooden, you'll have to bleach them or throw them out . Having been in raw meat has contaminated them. E. coli can kill you. Please be careful dear. Your a real sweetie. Wouldn't want you to get sick or worse.👍
