I have never seen nothing like theses I have got to try these
I use those same type of fried pie forms. Once you lay it on the dough there is no need to cut around it. If you will press down hard on the dough then twist the form back and forth it will cut it away from the extra dough. Also, once you place the dough on the form press the edges down just slightly before flipping the opposite side over it will keep it from just falling over before you combine the 2 sides. Took me multiple times to realize this.

If you take your pie gagit and put the bottom on your dough and press it down it will cut it for you

Hey Leslie! I have always wanted to learn how to make fried pies. My husband said his grandma always made them, and he Loved them! Lol. I just NEVER sit down. AND when I have time, I'm in the gym. π€£ My husband loves good ol southern food and I LOVE to cook! I need to get me a fork like that. And a pie press. I love your stove! You make frying look so easy. I didn't know you could freeze biscuit dough. My husband drives a truck, and he runs to Greensboro about 4 time a week. Those look delicious! Your willpower is great! These pies look sooo good! It is so hard to cook something like this and not be able to eat it. I know what it's like because I've been there and done that. Be strong and you will be rewarded with weight loss. Just can't believe one bite will hurt you, if you can keep it to one bite!
The back side of you pie press is a cutter for you dough. Just press down like a cookie cutter, no knife needed

Everything is better with cinnamon and sugar! Great job on try to get healthy. I have a 1 or 2 bite rule when making treats for the family. I figure itβs better than eating a whole pie. π

As you walk away from your bench you loose volume, not sure if you wear a microphone or use one on your camera but the sound is fairly poor. The fried sweet potato pies look so yummy even though I've just finished my tea I'm sure I'd eat one straight away if you passed me one. Blessings to you all from down under.

Not a big fan of sweet potatoes. However..I can honestly say I can see this as pumpkin pie deep fried. For me that would hit the spot before we get to Thanksgiving.
Leslie, I love fried pies and sweet potatoes, so I know these have got to be so good!! π I've had fried apple pies, but I don't believe I've ever had a sweet potato fried pie. Many years ago I tried making some fried pies, but mine turned out too greasy. I don't know what I did wrong. lol !!
