As mentioned in the video, before you add in the veggies – poke the beef and see if the chopstick will go through without much resistance. (It's hard to give an exact timing because everyones cut of beef will be different size.) If the meat still has alot of resistance… add in some more water to the broth and let it boil away for another 15-20 minutes. Then proceed to add-in the veggies and continue as show in the video. (Note: If the sauce reduces too quickly… lower the heat and simply add in a few more swigs of water… trust me, the taste will still be amazing!!)

Thanks for teaching me how to make gravy..my husband got your lemon pepper wings on point.i never have to go to wing stop ever again. I've written checks that I couldn't cash, begging him to make those wings for me. but hubby has a hard time making gravy. now I have something special for his ass.my gravy came out perfect. I did get nervous once I began adding the broth b/c of the thickness. But I kept it moving, just like you said & it worked out. .thank you soo much for all that you do..

I tried this recipe and I can guarantee it's amazing! It is already sweet enough without the honey, so give it a try! Cooking it nice and slow allows all the flavor to marinate nicely! Softer than soft!

Tired to make this by subtituing mirin with rice vinegar + sugar and unknowingly using Chinese soy sauce.. tasted totally different! Tried to make again using the right ingredients, tasted amazing! I ended up using slow cooker for one night because the beef was still so tough. The beef kinda lost its shape a bit but totally tasted amazing!! Thanks for sharing โค๏ธ

Such an amazing recipe ๐Ÿ˜ tried it today and absolutely delicious. The beef, the carrots and the radish are all tender and full of the flavors.
For some reason, I needed more than 3 table spoons for enough flavor.I put in gochujang and Korean rice cake when I reheat the dish and it was heaven ๐Ÿ˜‹

I just found your channel a few weeks ago and gave this a try… LOVE this recipe!! It tastes the most similar to the kalbi jjim I had from my Korean friends aunt — so much better than the restaurants! ๐Ÿ‘Œ
