I hear all the time that cast iron and glasstop stoves don't mix, and yet cast iron is softer than both stainless steel and tempered glass… I'm not a scientist, but to me that would suggest that you're more likely to scratch your cast iron with the glass than vice versa. How about a video where you confirm or refute this?

I would like to see what you think of the cranddi blenders. They are close to the vitamix blender. Would be nice to see a 2022 comparison with this brand for a cheaper alternative.

The Always pan is a niche market. It is for a person who wants to cook in a small studio apartment with only a wet bar. On top of a portable heating element it would allow a person to make small meals without take out

I’ve heard you shouldn’t used enameled cast iron on a flat-top electric (possibly induction but that’s probably different), because the intense, direct heat can melt the coating and fuse it to the cooktop. Is there any legitimacy to this claim?

Re portable burners: yes, especially for when the power is out. I have a very small, old camping stove for emergencies (earthquake, fire, blackout) which must be used outside. I would love to know of other options.

The our place brand is such a mess. They started as a way to streamline your kitchen and they have swelled their line to the point of no return. I just saw they have SIX sizes of plates to buy.

I had the worst luck with both of my Always Pans. I would advise against purchasing it. If I could do it all again, I wouldn't waste my money and would choose another pan altogether. They didn't last one solid year. Everything stuck to it! It's possibly good for those people who don't cook very much. However, if you use your pan religiously; don't do it. That's my two cents, spend it wisely.

Really looking forward to the review on portable cooktops. I wonder if you will test grill top ones that you can cook food directly on just not the gas, electric or induction ones. I love to grill but it can get smokey in the house if you do use a gas table-top burner with a grill plate.
