So you guys like the best of Jewish food! Mazel Tov!
Here in Seattle I stopped by Subway to grab a foot long Pastrami with double meat. They no longer carry that sandwich. It's not Katz's Deli…but still,my sadness was profound.
Heard of them but that's too much neat for me
for that price i could make myself pastrami sandwiches for a week. lol
Watching TabiEats as I make tuna mayonnaise onigiri. Oh the irony.
the corned beef has a nasty flavor, pastrami is best,,, next time try the reuben its best
WOW man I wish youtube notified me of your content more!
I'm so happy you guys got to eat there and enjoyed it so much
But what time of day did you go? It seemed quite empty for a place like Katz's Deli.
MY GRENDMA use to make corned beef with saltpeter, and beef tunge, and sometimes turkey leg.the meat became always red,and tender.she was Lithuanian jewish grandma,I miss her a lot.the jewish people make corned beef for 2,000 years,to make the meat kosher and get ride of the blood which is forbidden ,and to preserve the meat.you can try make it at home, just don't forget to wash away with lots of water the saltpeter, its poisen.but the meat will be amazing.here is a recipe:1 kg' beef, cut to very big chunks.black peper,3-4 garlic cloves,,cut to small pieces,3-4 bay leaves,10 English peppers(dont grind them) rube in all of it in to the meat.put the meat with everything in to a jar made of glass or ceramics(never plastic or metal) cover well, and put it in the fridge for 4-5 days..then take it out wash it firmly in water, boil in water for 5 mint'. take it out.put it to cooke in a new pot, with garlic carrots dill and bay leaves, cook for 2-3 hours.let the meatv rest befor you eat.its better cold from the fridge the next day
Satoshi looking FANTASTIC with the beard!
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi, I just watched your Japanse try Dutch Food & Snacks video. I saw that you liked the CupASoup Ewrt.
I'm Dutch and I would love to send you a fully translated recipe for real Dutch pea soup (erwtensoep) if you'd like to try it out?
I never understood the attraction of a sandwich with just that much meat, and I'm trying to cut back on meat and beef in particular for the environment, but you've sold the pastrami sandwich to me! Also, I heard stories about this place being insanely busy. When did you visit?
Expensive for a bit of a meat sandwich . Nothing good comes for free.
It is expensive but a sandwich like that with a beverage would be enough for dinner for me.
Way over priced. They just want to serve the rich.
22.95 my granny told me she remembers when it was 25 cents lol
You guys are adorable as always! I wish you would’ve had some Italian food too! 😁
(*´﹃`*)
50 places I want to visit when I eventually go to new york this one top priority lol.
for that price you can get a prime rib and just slap some bread on both sides
I'm so happy you & Satoshi went to Katz's Deli. I went there with my friends on my birthday. The pastrami & corned beef are pricey, but it's so worth it.
I knew it would be good but I'm surprised at how quiet it was.
Could you please stop trying to be like Mark wiens it's sickening 🤢🤮😷
I wanted to reach into the screen and steal a bite so badly… I'd never do that though, even if it were possible!
Love you both… enjoying the n.y. style food… I now live in southeast n.c… very proud to see you both enjoying some of the mixed culture I was able to enjoy growing up, so wonderful,,, if you both love that? You would both love st, Patty's day in nyack n .y. classic and deelish! Keep it up, proud of you both🍷
The pastrami is actually a romanian dish/meat product, brought to America by immigrants (jewish immigrants from Romania), just like baseball. You should sometimes taste the original😁…it’s called pastrama and I mean taste the dish not the sport
It’s worth every penny. To go there and eat !!! But you can get a similar Pastrami for $3.00 less. If you want to drive all over town. So Just Pay or don’t Go !!
And you wonder why us Americans are so fat lol
Japan have old gay man?
tourist trap
for that damn price i can buy almost 9 pounds of beef . damn murica you are expensive
🙁 Personally pastrami is a waste of good brisket. It has a great taste by itsself without adding adding all those spices.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it.The sandwiches were much to big with way to much meat for me..Plus,the price I had rather have a good meal than pay those prices.
I thought I saw you guys outside of Katz's! But I wasn't sure. Wish I said hi! I live around the block 😛
$23.00 bit steep. London is v good for £5.00 in London market
Well congrats, you guys got to do one of the things on my bucket list. And ha, glad to hear it was on your list too.
Those are not charred bits on the pastrami. That is a combination of crushed black peppercorns and coriander seeds which are part of the cure when preparing the meet for smoking . For those who question the price of the sandwiches you have to remember Katz's has been making their smoked meats for 132 years and is considered to be the #1 smoked meat of it's kind in the world. I have been eating it for almost 70 years and do not regret paying whatever they have asked for it.
The pastrami looks delicious but I love corned beef! Thank you for sharing your experience
