Hi Dorcas and Mr Allen it’s been alittle while since I commented but I’m always watching the channel. I like butter beans but it can be a marmite answer, you either love it or hate it. I make a few different recipes with them in, for instance Herby Sausages and Butter Bean Mash and also Smoky butter beans & greens. I tend to soak them in water overnight for the next day to plump and soften up. I have made a Chicken and Bean broth with leftovers from the previous day and it’s delicious. Hope you are both good, loving your vlogs as usual , your a cracking couple.

Tell you what my mom told me put in a bowl of cold water. And let them soak over night. Will not take long maybe hr. and half two hrs. it work's with all beans. old folk did.

My family and I love Lima beans. The large and baby, but I'm the only one that eat butter green butter beans. Our favorite meat to cook in our beans are smoked sausages with rice and cornbread.

Hey yall. If you wanna cook them on the stove top it won't take long if you soak them in cold water the night before/overnight. Try them with hamhocks in them, Mr. Allen will love them. Lol. Much love from Alabama..
