    Very difficult to get baby aubergines where I live. Can I use the larger variety and would I have to cut it/them up? When one hits the rice button does one not have to indicate a time? Also, for health reasons, I prefer to use brown/wholegrain basmati which takes longer to cook so am I correct in assuming I will have to cook the rice separately. If so, please give instructions as to which button and timings for the masala. I know how to do the brown rice with the pot-in-pot method. Thanks.

    Thank you Subbu. Just wondering how the eggplant tastes bland or spiced Egg plant. Since you have not put the masala inside the slit eggplant. If the Egg plant absorbs the masala , it would be awsome. Please provide your feedback.
