Sometimes a person starts eating a piece of beef and the more you chew, the larger the piece of meat seems to be. Not a nice sensation. If the flavor is there, it all works out I suppose.

You made me laugh AK. You chewed on that first bite so long I was wondering if it was made out of rubber. Lol It reminded me of someone in my family when I was a child giving our dog peanut butter, it was the funniest thing ever watching that dog trying to swallow the peanut butter, that's what you reminded me of. Sorry your food wasn't excellent but I guess you can't win them all. I had high hopes for this place. Too bad it was only so so. (PS the dog loved peanut butter:-)

Pot roast is USUALLY made from chuck roast, a very tough cut with very little fat through it. Consequently, that meat needs to be cooked low and slow in stock made into it's gravy. Sounds as if the restaurant took that same [chuck] roast, sliced a chunk, threw brown gravy on it and called it pot roast. Honestly I make stew quite often, someone will have to tell me what the difference is between stew and pot roast. From what I can tell, it's just the length in which you cook the meat. Otherwise it's served basically the same way. AK, you should make a video making pot roast in your InstaPot. Low and slow, that's the way to go. you will love it.

Your expression showed you were not impressed with the meat, especially after it took so long to chew. 😅 The plantains look delicious though! 😋 Thank you for sharing, AK! 🤗

The plantains looked good. I like that you're adventurous in what you eat. You're not afraid to try new things. I am like that my parents would take me to different types of restaurants around Michigan. My mom wasn't afraid to cook new cuisines at home. As a result, there are very few food items that I don't care for.

ActionKid you're too nice. Pot roast is usually made with chuck roast an inexpensive cut of beef. It generally takes along time to cook and needs a lot moisture so it doesn't dry out. It looked very dry. My mom used to make it and it took several hours to cook.

I could tell by how long you had to chew the meat that it wasn't as tender as it should be. Thankyou for sharing your honest opinion. I always know when your eyebrows go up, how delicious the meal is. Lol..

YUMMY!!! I'd be happy with the plantain and rice . I was very surprised to see how large the parking lot is, it wasn't always that size. This truly an excellent restaurant and very authentic. Hope you go back and try another entree soon.
