Thank you for the wonderful videos! I always enjoy each one! One note…I think when we burn a milk based sauce it is called scorching. Scalding is what you do to milk to kill bacteria and it impacts the proteins and enzymes in the milk. 🙂

hey mindy happy new year love your videos and stroganoff is fine over rice or mashed potatoes it doesn't always have to be noodles and my grandma is no longer with us but she was a use up the pantry kinda gal and would have loved these videos she was russian and poll and we'd have stroganoff over potatoes or rice all the time especially in winter and if you want to know a great trick for getting burnt crap out of a dutch oven or any pot put hot water in it and some Dawn or regular hand washing soap put the pot on a burner on med hi for about an hour depending on how caked on the crap is but after an hour you should be able to wipe the burnt off with a dish rag and save money on the dishwasher and your elbow grease lol..but love your videos and definitely helpful and you can also make breakfast muffins with those oatmeal packs and any leftover pancake mix and a muffin pan lol but great video

It always a good feeling to throw out empty, used up food items vs full or half full that have spoiled from not being used. I cleaned out my freezer yesterday and could have cried at the waste. Mental note to be more aware of what’s in stock vs just buying out of being unsure what we already have.

Now, question, what did you do to save your pot? I have one have had for years that needs a good scrub to get the bottom inside of the pan that’s discolored and burnt that needs a good soak and scrub.

I have def adopted this philosophy of using up what I have ranging from the pantry to my makeup collection. It is crazy how much we think we need or just want and how much of those things are wasted. Looking forward to continuing this mentality this yr ♥️

if you bring a little water to boil in your pot, add a couple teaspoons of baking soda SLOWLY because it will foam up, turn it off and let it cool. it should come right off with a cloth. 🙂

This is what I've been doing, going through the pantry and I can't believe how much stuff I had that was expired already! I had stocked up a little for 2020. And some things just get pushed aside. Now I'm using them. They're still good.☺️

Hi Mindy, I use stew meat to make quite a few things and I wait till the meat is tender before I add any dairy products to guard against scolding or scorching issues. I'm bad about walking away so I understand the struggle.

Great ideas-thanks for sharing your creativity for using leftovers. Thrilled you saved your Dutch oven. I had a waffle maker failure yesterday and worried I wouldn’t be able to save it, but I did!

Love when you use "scraps" as my mother use to say and sometimes you end up finding out a new recipe that comes out of these creations. Thanks for sharing and I would love to try those breakfast burritos!

Mindy I just came across your channel not too long ago and I absolutely love your videos because it just seems more my style of cooking. It's so relatable like let's use up what we have! I would have never thought to use the oatmeal packets to make cookies!

We are a family of 7, after seeing your videos I have been pushing myself out of my comfort zone to keep eating what we have. I had a small stock pile of things that I saved as back up and now I am using that back up to help stretch our budget even further. It has become a luxury to have fresh produce items on hand and I am pushing myself to go as far as I can and be even more creative with the things we still have due to being taught by watching you!

Dutch Oven- Quarter cup of bleach mixed with enough water to cover stain. Soak for at least 24 hours. Drain and wash with dish soap, rinse. Immediately dry off Dutch oven stain will be gone without scrubbing.
