Would you please create a video on how you plan to stock your pantry for the upcoming food shortage? What type of food would you buy to feed one to two persons eating to regular meals a day, keeping into account that this could last for a year or so? What would you buy if you could on a limited budget to ensure you have enough for yourself and to help someone less fortunate than you? Been making my own tempeh for years. And I use banana leaves to ferment the beans in which results in a smooth tasting tempeh that you don't find in the stores. And you can do it too if you have an instant pot or an oven.
My last batch was with small garbanzo beans and wild rice. Small garbanzo beans are the ones used for hummus. Not the beans you get from WF or TJs.
Anyway, frozen banana leaves are pretty cheap at most Asian grocers in the US. And I buy the starter, which comes from Thailand, on Amazon.
Boil the tempeh for 5-10 minutes before preparing! It totally changes the texture (a little softer) and takes away any bitterness
