This is right on time. I have been craving a sub sandwich. I recently tried the gardein fish filets. Delicious with tons of “sauce” mayo and hot sauce bread and butter pickles on a bun.

I love mock meat deli slices! I don’t eat them regularly, but they sure help scratch that itch when I’m having a craving. My current go-to’s are Sweet Earth’s Harmless Ham and, always, Tofurky. The latter’s also a great company. Check out the How I Built This podcast episode about Tofurky’s founder, Seth Tibbott. He’s a genuine and funny fella.

    Great video!

Yves for the win. Ain't nothin' phony about that boloney's taste. If you're Vegan and ever wonder if you can taste bologna again, Yves brand delivers it right on target. The Yves bologna is scary realistic. I pack the Yves bologna sandwiches in trip lunches and off-road travels for those quick lunch breaks. It's so good.

Hi there! It's lovely to see a video with you two together. Thank you for talking about the vegan lunch meats. I've been wanting to try them, but have been skeptical. Now I know I need to give them a try! I like some of the vegan cheeses, and I use them often. Also, that was a great discussion about finding ways to make cooking easier…there can be all sorts of reasons people might need to make cooking easier, and still want to eat vegan/healthier food. I've had to think creatively to make cooking easier to due health issues. I used to enjoy cooking a lot, and I still do, but a lot of times I don't have enough energy or I'm not feeling well enough. So it's good to think of strategies to still take good care of ourselves and eat healthful food. Sending good wishes to you two, and your furry family members, too! 🙂 🙂

I was just thinking about subs. We now can get a meatball sub at our Subway now with Beyond Meat which is amazing…but I never thought that buying the Yves products and putting them together would make it so delicious. Thank you so much for your review. I'm definitely going to try this. Oh and the chicken burger too. BTW, my husband wants it simple too. I have to have everything ready for him. He's an ethical vegan so for him, it's either he eats what I prepare or he doesn't eat. lol

A few years ago I discovered recipes for mason jar salads. More or less, layer the ingredients in the mason jar. Make sure your dressing is on the bottom, then the meat, and then the veggies. This way the veggies don't get soggy. It then dawned on me you could do the same thing with sandwiches. Chop the meats and cheese up just enough so it fits in the jar. This way you can still get a good sandwich bites without worrying about the bread carbs.

I did something similar for my partner when they chose to go 100% plant based. Because I went down the path first, I was able to map it out and It made it a lot easier for them. Ben is lucky to have such an awesome partner! 🤗

cool cool coool cool… how many dollars are on that plate? is it less than $1? less than $3? why is eating dirt porn more expensive than eating reasonably? I challenge your expected 5:23 criticisms. Eat greens… lots of them. eat some other delicious things too when it fits the matrix of your own ethical choices where you are. But turning Veg into weird pseudo meat? What for? Eat well, move more, lather rinse repeat.

Thanks. My husband is transitioning to a more plant based way of eating. We are not going for perfect . Adding lots of veges n high nutrient foods but plant based, prepared convenience foods are helpful as part of a healthy diet, when you don't have time to cook, or just need food fast and essy and/or to help folks feel more comfortable. Never thought of an air fryer as 'a better microwave'. Good point. Been wanting one for a while, reducing/ minimizing oil is a priority.

Does your Capriotti's have vegan meat now?? I know at least some locations had Beyond Meat, but I just looked online and saw that some have Tofurkey too. I've never been to one, but if you liked them it might be worth checking!

Great sandwich ideas! I eat vegan sandwiches all the time. My current favorite is Tofurky Roast Beef Slices. Makes a great sandwich! And my favorite cheeses are Follow Your Heart Smoked Gouda and Pepper Jack slices. Guess I'm a wimp because those Gardein Nashville Hot tenders were too hot for me.

It’s easy, quick and I’m sure it taste great however these kinds of foods are very unhealthy. Loads of oil, sugars and salts ect. It’s great that no animals were harmed ect however don’t think for one second this is healthy. For most Americans who are fat, sick, unhealthy and on tons of medications most people should be on a whole food plant based diet with minimal healthy processed foods. Vegan high processed junk foods like this will not reverse our top leading causes of death (heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes) eating this way will only continue the heath epidemics Americans face everyday. Going vegan for the animals and the planet are sO important but so is the health of the human race! #healthyVegan

When I make super subs for a crowd, I do scoop out some of the bread down the center to accomidate the fillings but, yeah, a good sub is sloppy and oozy. Pepperoncini, too!
