Your recipes are awesome madam. But the onions you added to the Sambar we with soot and you added them without washing them and that's unhealthy while being unhygienic too. Also noticed that you add herbs that are blackened due to storage, again which is not good to eat. I am not a freak but I have seen my mom put food in 25 plates every meal and she never used any mint, coriander or curry leaves that have blackened and the same with onions. Whether they had soot or not, they were washed thoroughly after peeling and the cut to the desired shape and size. My mom might have been wrong as she would have been 96 had she been alive. So please let me know the health and hygiene status for all of the above, so that I can take it easy and ask my mom to keep quiet whenever she says, in my head, that I haven't washed veggies thoroughly. Or else, she is there breathing down my neck. I have taught you well, how dare you disobey me? Please help.

So yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Sambar rice. It's a cousin of our karnataka Bisibele bath. I have a doubt, don't we need to boil the sambar rice after adding the cooked rice and dals? Wouldn't all the flavors get mixed easily this way. Kindly clarify. Awaiting your reply Dear Gita Amma.
