    The tamale dough is
    2 1/2 cups Masa / corn flour
    1 tsp Salt
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    1 3/4 cup chicken stock
    Mix all ingredients until moistened.

In the video I use shredded pork
I put a pork butt in the slow cooker for 8 hours
After it is done cooking, I shred it and season it with a taco seasoning or
Salt & Pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Thank you! I always wanted to make these for my German-Mexican husband. 😉 I never had a pot to do this in until my son and daughter-in-law gave me an Instant Pot for Christmas. 😁 Your recipe looks easy and thank you for showing the texture of the dough.

Good lord! I love tamales! They turned out perfect! You are so lucky to have such a fabulous mix to your family Hispanic, Native American and Asian whoa I would be such a happy girl all of my favorite people and food combined into one family. Do you ever add onion to the tamales? I don't think it's traditional but I would have to just for the hell of it. Also do you ever make fry bread? I love making Indian taco's and using the fry bread. Well it's official I am starving and need some tamales haha go figure I am doing keto right now. Please do more videos like this I love cooking almost as much as eating.
