When gluten-free first came to be a thing most stores had all the gluten-free items on a specific section of a specific I’ll then they started to incorporate them into a regular oil I think that was a big disservice to the shop or however I know why they do it so that you will go up and down the isles to shop other items.

Hi Miranda! I love this video and was surprised by how competitive prices were at Target and Walmart. I tend to shop at Target more because they have more stuff in stock near me. Also I'm more likely to pick up clothing for myself at Target – just gotta be honest 🙂

P.S. Your pumpkin cookies look delicious!!!

Thanks for the great recipes and I love to hear about little Levi. He's so blessed to have such a caring doggy mom. I'm wondering would a little tahini work in the soda bread instead of oil or butter ?

Thank you MiRanda for your highly intriguing and diligent socioeconomic comparison. This was truly Great! I generally shop at Winco (for the Win) and Walmart since they are most convenient for me. I will definitely consider a weekly trip to Target (and its Circle) to conduct my own personal study and see if it's worth it in my budget. Love your videos! Sending so many well wishes for You, Joe and your tiny senior pup in your new space.

I've been gluten free for many years now and I've seen all the changes. Some stores would have dedicated aisle for gluten-free, while others interspersed them with non-gluten free foods. Our Walmart does it all! lol. You can find gluten-free oats in the gluten-free section and also in the cereal section. They have an off-brand oat that is just over $1/bag, while the name-brand is roughly 4 times as much. I have to mix my own blends of flour so I can never find all of the products I need for that in either store. I will have to check out Target's pasta section now though.

Thank you, great video! I recently shopped at Walmart and got a bunch of the great value frozen veggies and fruits and I was pretty shocked at how low the prices were! Do they seem outstandingly much lower at Walmart? I would love to hear about a frozen foods/veggies/fruit comparison since I go through so much of that stuff!

This was interesting to see the price comparisons. 🤔
I stopped buying at either store because the prices have gone up & also are higher than Aldi but I know not everyone has an Aldi. 😃

When comparing Target's store brand vs Walmart, there's more than price to compare. Quality matters as well and sometimes paying more for better quality is the better choice. Good nutrition cant be beat, and you either pay now for your health, or pay later. Everyone just needs to do the best they can with what they have.

Love your intro. I’ve bought groceries at both places but I honestly didn’t realize there wasn’t that big of a price difference. I did notice the price difference between what type of bean like you were talking about. It’s the same where I work. That pasta dish looks delicious.

My benchmark for how good a deal is at another store is “is it the same or cheaper than Walmart?” Sometimes the pricier stores run specials that end up being cheaper. Bell peppers are $1 each here but Giant had them last week for $0.68. It’s a lot to try to keep up with, so Walmart or even Aldi/Lidl are always a safe bet for value.

Another thing I do at Target… When they have their %10 discount on Target gift cards, I will purchase one and use it for my own shopping… Saves me an additional 5% versus my Red Card… I also purchase AMC gift cards, Dave & Buster's, Disney, Roblox (for the kid), Restaurant Chains, etc… from Target because you save 5% on those gift cards with the red card, and I just use gift cards at those places when I go… It might not be much, but every bit counts! Always love your videos and tips! This is a great share! Thank you!

I’m really surprised how close these stables are in price. I buy most of my household consumables in the target brand because I like the cheaper price and comparable quality. I’ll have to stop over to the grocery section when we need to stock up on pantry stables as well.

I finally went to Target and found lots of things that are less expensive than Walmart. In the same shopping plaza is Albertsons so I can get sale items there. Then there's Sprouts which is about 10 minutes from me so I'll get produce there.🙂
I've been planning on going gluten free also so I'm looking forward to your recipes. I just bought a bread machine that has a gluten free setting so I'll be experimenting with that.
Thanks for your awesome recipes and tips.

Beans! Wow I would have never guessed they would be cheaper at a Target. Blows my mind. We discovered a discount food store locally and it has dry beans ranging from 45 cents a pound to a dollar. We were amazed.

Your soda bread, is that a recipe I can use with plain flour?

We have been gobbling cheeze sauce lately. I love your pasta idea. It's so simple but has so much flavor you added. My mom actually just made the switch 3 days ago to the starch solution. We having been loving sharing simple delicious whole foods with her!
Looking forward to the 10 easy meal ideas coming up. Happy Holidays!

Excellent price comparison video Miranda. Prices in the UK tend to be cheaper than the United States with the exception of premium retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and Cooperative because there's more competition because we have 4 major supermarket's ( Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons) 3 frozen food specialists ( Iceland, Farmfoods, Heron Foods (in England only) ). Discounters such as Lidl and Aldi have UK stores and there's food sections in discount general retailers such as Home Bargains, B&M, Pound land, Pound stretchers. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕❤️ Miranda & Joe.
