I just made this with what I had on hand. Frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, & blackberries) I used 5 cups of the frozen fruit and followed all the other steps as you guys did. I'm eating a bowl right now still warm from the oven. So delicious! Thanks so much for the easy and tasty recipe! 🙂

Just made this delicious dish. I used green & Fuji apples and to boost the whole food nutrition I left the skin on the apples (just chop smaller & you won’t notice), used date sugar instead of brown, added ground flax to the “crust” and allspice, ginger and cinnamon (can’t get too much!!) to the “filling.” Yes, I’m a spice fiend (taste great & they’re super antioxidants). A scoop of this in a bowl of oatmeal is yummy….actually, just simmering fruit on the stovetop (w spices, of course) makes breakfast oatmeal out of this world! Thanks for the easy baked recipe!

. You have inspired me to purchase the instant pot 8 quart. I want to do pot in pot cooking. But I m nervous to try using Pyrex in the instant pot. So I’ll wait until I get some stainless steel pots.
I am binge watching your videos lately I actually have been using your videos to just stay upbeat. You are so inspiring.
My hubby is such a great guy but he is the worlds biggest carnivore and he hates fruits and vegetables. He is diabetic and overweight. I try to share all the information I have from “forks over knives “ and what the health” and trying to teach him but he is not wanting to hear. I live in San Antonio , Texas right down the road from you.
Thanks for all that you share and your sweet nature. I love how you love to help people.

I love your videos Jill. I really can relate to Ro’s situation with her family. I have one Daughter -in-law in our family who is plant based. The rest of the family is going to be surprised this Thanksgiving. I won’t be serving only plant based this year but there will be more and more each year. Can’t shock them too much but I will only be eating plant based. It will be ok.

    Hey Jill,

I JUST made this and I AM FLYING! (*゚▽゚)/ It is so good! I especially love the topping! I think it would make awesome granola so I'm going to do just that. In fact I will double or triple the topping next time and any leftovers can become home-made granola 😀 I didn't have cranberries so used 100% granny smith and realised cos cranberries are a lot more sour, the filling turned out too sweet. I will make adjustments to the sugar next time. But the flavors though… they were on point! The apples and the topping went so well together~

I have a question though – I sliced the apples instead of cubed them and they turned out smooshy like applesauce.. Was it because I had it baking for too long?

Thank you for this wonderful recipe (*^^*)

Jill thank you so much for sharing this! I was baking right along with you gals as I watched the replay of this. It was so fun chopping apples, mixing, and enjoying the conversation as I made this. It was like you ladies were right here in the kitchen with me!

HERE'S MY VERSION of the Crumble recipe:
    Apple-Cranberry Crumble
(Adapted from The Healthiest Diet on the Planet)
    Serves 8 to 10

    TOPPING
    1/2 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon liquid sweetener (agave, maple syrup, date syrup)

    FILLING
3 cups peeled, cubed apples (Bosc pears work, too)
2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed
    1/3 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder

    Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Mix topping ingredients together in a medium bowl; add liquid sweetener of choice and mix again until crumbly. Set aside.

Toss apples, cranberries, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a large bowl until well mixed. Transfer to a deep-dish dessert pan and sprinkle crumble over the top. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until the filling is bubbly and the top is slightly browned. Cool for 1 hour (that's the hardest part of this recipe).
