My daughter wants hot pot for her 22nd birthday on Sunday. For her gift, I bought her a divided electric hot pot and extra long chopsticks, so now all I have to do is find ingredients. sigh Where I live, getting Asian food is challenging. We'll just do the best we can! Unfortunately, due to COVID, I can't invite anybody outside of our immediate family 🙁

Hey, I've been living in HK for a while now as a vegan and I can say that for anyone feeling lazy: just use soya milk. You don't have to add anything. Just Soy Milk on its own works really well – I have done it 10+ times and even my omni friends are impressed!

That green one name is : SWAMP CABAGE. In Philippines it’s called “ KANGKONG”.

A tip: precook the sweet potato noodles then put them in a bowl of cold water to prevent sticking. All you have to do is take a little bit using tongs preferably and dip the noodles in the stock to bring it back to temperature, and you won't have to deal with timing the noodles or trying to fish for it.

I made this tonight for dinner! I thought it was going to be easy and clean but I let my pot boil over a few times -__- The soymilk broth was delicious (and actually way better than I was expecting). Thanks for all the good recipes!

This video is super – thank you so much! I am so sad I never got the chance to try hot-pot due to my being vegan and only knowing meat eaters. Maybe one day 🙂 I would really would love to see you do Chinese greens – I love them! 🙂

Awesome tips and pointers in this video!! I will for sure use your recipe the next time I eat hotpot! My family makes regular meat hotpot, but our hotpot also has that cool divider thing. Last time I was super lazy and just used veggie broth, and it was so unsatisfying, haha. Can't wait to try these out 🙂

Chrysanthemum greens (tong ho choy) are my FAVORITE greens for hot pot. They just go so well with everything else. Favorite noodles are potato starch noodles. We eat hot pot basically every week in the winter.
