Hi can you let me know what I did wrong. I followed your recipe and I used a “manchego cheese P.D.O” that I found it Tesco, Uk- but when I baked the baguette for 5 minutes the cheese didn’t melt. I baked it for another 5 minutes and the cheese still didn’t melt- it just became oily but the baguette was over done. I’d really appreciate your feedback as your baguette looks delicious. Thank you 🙂

Here is a bread slicing tip: To keep from slicing all the way through the bread, place a pair of chopsticks on either side of the bread. It stops the knife without damaging it

Happy Thanksgiving. Albert! I've been making this dish for years and will be doing it again for our Thanksgiving here in Italy where we will be celebrating with about 35 friends on Saturday evening. This year, we will be bringing back an old favorite, Gorgonzola with chopped dates. Salty, sweet, and just a little funky.
