I made this and it was DELICIOUS! My husband picked WAY too many apples when we took the family for an annual apple picking. I did have the larger loaf pan and backed off 5 minutes from the cook time and it came out perfect! I will be using the rest of our apples to make this again and again and again!
I made 3 of these this week and they turned out fantastic! I used a regular loaf pan and a smaller one like suggested and they both work great! So, don't worry if you don't have a small one. Also, I used ground Allspice because i didn't have nutmeg. It was still wonderful! Definitely try this.
John I made this lovely apple loaf yesterday and followed your recipe exactly. I used King Arthur all purpose flour and a 9×5 inch baking pan and it came out perfect!

If you dnt mind, I see so much sugar added in cakes un I get scared of having them. Coz I take as little sugar as possible in my daily life. Despite this I really adore yr cooking skills.
Im trying banana cake in microwave oven un it turned out fine. All the time I dnt use eggs in my cakes. Coz wanna bake that way. It is booze almost all my families r veg un me too. With practice , my baking gradually working. Im only ok at baking banana cake at the moment.
