One thing that most preppers dont understand is when times get hard and the elite move to take over you won't be able to keep any of this saved think or if a big disaster hits it will be all wasted. Its best to go small and as needed. Just saying.

Great video and they look beautiful. I have had a set of those bowls forever and had no idea that was also a spout I just thought of it as the handles. Makes since now that I saw it. Thank you!!

Do the freeze dried and dehydrated ingredients equal out every time? Like dehydrated onion and freeze dried onion are equal after rehydration? I have so much dried onion from the church cannery back in the day that I need to package creatively and this is something my family would eat. We LOVE lentils!

One item in the spice is lemon powder? I never heard of lemon powder and didn’t see it at the spice section of the grocery store. Did you mentioned lemon powder or did I heard wrong? Thanks

I write on my lids with a permanent marker as well. A little trick I learned instead of nail polish remover, take a dry erase marker and scribble over where you've written with the permanent marker and it wipes right off with a paper towel. Permanent marker gone lid is clean.

Looks beautiful. Just ordered those gold lentils, the onions (so I don't have to open a #10 can), and saw some nice sliced dried garlic for the prepper pantry. I don't like cooked celery so would the soup be okay without it? Thanks, Pam. Can't wait to try this soup and jar some up. Blessings. 💗

Pam- new to your channel. Lovely dry soup mix! My off-grid slow cooker is our 1930 kitchen wood stove. Hopefully folks have a gas cook range that the top will hand light. Soup is the way to go this winter. Thanks for this helpful recipe! I can take these over to friends ~ Diane- New Hampshire

    I have a question
I m new in all these of preserving
I was wondering for how long is safe to save the bouillons cubes because of the humidity percentage …I want to save vacuum many of those in a glass jar ,,do you think is safe ?

    Hi Pam,
This will be a lovely soup on the shelves. I can’t wait to make up this soup in the jars. I have one question, if you don’t mind answering. When I rehydrate the veggies (carrots, onions and celery, how much water does it take to rehydrate them, or does it matter? Maybe just covering them and draining them will suffice?). On another subject, my husband and I decided to try out our Marchan Ramen Noodles from food storage. Sadly they had spoiled. The date was 2003. So, I am thinking Ramen Noodles only keep for maybe a year or two. If you have some like that or older, I would check them out. This leads me to thinking that these soups could only be held for 1 to 2 years also.

I've reused flats for vacuum packing and storage for years, but have always been challenged by trying to initially remove them from canned jars without bending or warping them. Seems to be even harder with some of the new, thinner off-brand ones today. Any suggestions? Might be a good microcomputer topic. Thanks!

I already do this but only one particular soup so far that I had my sister test it…she took it to work for the tasting and it was a hit! I love this topic!♥️👍🙏🇺🇸🤓
I don’t have a vacuum sealer so I put oxygen absorbers in instead.
