Try the canned mackerel. Reduce the brine a skillet, can remove the spine bones during the time (if preferred). With majority of brine reduced, add the mackerel piece and heat a minute or so on each side, spoon the salty brine over top as heating. Makes a good fish sandwich or an entre.
Frittata entree might serve white toast, or fruit cocktail or wedge of lettice and oil&vinegar dressing. Use flour to make tortillas, flatbread, or biscuits. I was thinking of items that might add calories and stretch. ***People forget when you are disabled and single. I lived on $50 a month. I have severe food allergies. Six months I ate bulk oatmeal, sunflower seeds, almond milk, and rice protein powder. I know what it feels like sleeping on ann empty stomach!!!!***
Larry, don't even respond to the people who post negative comments. Those of us who have truly gone hungry at some time in our lives–or who have gone without food to feed our kids–we get it. At one time I remember begging sausage grease to make a gravy to go with some homegrown fried green tomatoes. I am doing well now and my children are grown, but I remember those hard times, and I see hard times ahead. I live and cook economically, and your videos always teach me something or give me ideas–but most of all they give me hope. If there are people in the world like you, then maybe we have a chance. Thank you for everything you do.
We don't have Dollar Tree in Adelaide. I have to spread my shopping over two or three supermarkets now its crazy. Shelves are empty every time I go, everyone better prepare themselves for recession 2023. I think stores better have tight security because when people can't afford to feed their families, things might get out of hand.
I thought I misclicked on another video, but apparently this video is longer than 1 hour. That's a joy for me, and probably others. You're doing a great job man.
