Michael Hare… I have made this/your recipe 4 times and by adding a little "this" and a little "that" we love it! I made it for supper/dinner this evening and I noticed that it's the second time the rice burned or scorched on the bottom of the pot (inside). I followed your instructions & additions of broth/liquid and rice…I had to make my own 'broth' (this one time I didn't have a box of broth in the pantry…lol) using 2 cups liquid to 1 envelope of chicken bullion powder plus I also used an additional ½ cup liquid to de-glaze the chicken goodies off the bottom of the pot. I made sure there was nothing stuck to the bottom! When I opened the pot and started to plate the food I noticed there was 'browned' rice burned to the bottom. I use Basmati rice.
Am I still not using enough liquid? Oh! I also noticed that during the heat time, even after the pressure pin had risen, there was steam coming out of the same hole/area as the pressure pin…I'm at a loss (lol) and I'm a relatively new Instant Pot owner.user, I've only had it about a year and I don't use it weekly…perhaps twice a month. Any help would be appreciated…Ty

In your opinion (and those of the commentators here) how do you know when to quick release and when too do a natural release? Does it effect the taste any? I am new to this IP Cooking.

For anyone else who may read these comments (lol) because it doesn't seem as though the up-loader responds to ANY questions, remarks, etc.!? Has anyone here made this with skinless,bone-in chicken thighs and,if so,will they cook in the same amount of time – 10 minutes??

Great recipe. I made some changes. I didn't have rice, so I used two slices of bread. I substituted peanut butter for the chicken and added some jelly. Delish! Tasted just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
