wow that is min blowing that u can do that in your instant pot i think i might have to try that to once i run out of mustard to
There's a sauté function on the instapot, instead of dirtying another vessel for cooking, just return the blended mustard slurry to the instapot and do a low sauté.
I recently got a mustard from boarshead that I just cannot stop eating! It's a mix of yellow and brown mustard seed but also has horseradish. It's the best and has the perfect kick to it! I would maybe give horseradish a try next time, or even a dash of Worcester

Great job by the way love your channel too.
Maybe a touch of horseradish to kick it up a notch and some brown mustard seeds.
Wow! That looks so good! I love all kinds of mustard! I have never canned mustard, definitely going to try that!
Check out Whipporwhil Hollar, Ms. Lori has a recipe that makes about 6 1/4 pt jars, Although it may be awhile before you need more. Glad to see that the I P worked well for this. I love the brown mustard with horseradish in it. may have to tinker with the recipe a bit and see what I can come up with.
Yummy
You're awesome, I love how you just tackle things I would never think of! (And… it is an instant pot, not an insta pot. hahahahaha )
I love the testing. Great video.
The sweatshirt ❤
I've been thinking about this too. I thought a bit of horseradish might be the trick for a bit more kick. What do you think?
I didn't realize how easy Dijon mustard is to make, I have all those ingredients in my pantry and an instant pot. thanks for sharing!!! 👩🏽🌾👍🏽🙏🏽🧡💖
No horseradish? That would give it some spice
Love your hoodie. 🙂 thanks for sharing the recipe and the process.
I think commercial mustard uses turmeric for color. But it has a taste that maybe is what was missing?
That’s awesome 👍
Omg didnt know this !!! Wonderful.., mustard is so good for u too as I just read article & try eat spoonful everyday🐾💕❤️👀⭐️
I don’t care for Dijon mustard, but I love watching you experiment and make things. Your excitement is fun!
I found your channel while watching the pantry challenges. I am from Canada and I wanted you to know that I really enjoy your videos. I am watching the older ones and the new ones. I love your creativity in the kitchen and in your garden. Take Care and keep the videos coming 🙂 .
A question for Rachel's Test Kitchen….is it possible to pressure can German potato salad. Everything in it you can can so why not?
Could you explain to us sometime your water bath procedure?
Oh I LOVE your hoody!!!!
Now I want to make my own mustard. I’ll be trying this very soon. Thank you ♥️
Fantastic idea!!!!
Highly recommend Brad's fermented mustard recipe from Bon Appétit. It's delightful. It takes time to ferment but is otherwise easypeasy
Dijon is something I too have been wanting to make, but also like you, we don't use a lot of mustard so maybe in the summer I will do that. I really like the idea of using the Instant Pot. Super fast!
Thanks!
I just HAD to run and throw this is my instapot! I was so happy I had all the ingredients and added a couple of allspice berries based on another comment here! I was canning ground beef so my canner just needed more water. Can't wait for an hour from now!! Thank you Rachel for your kitchen experiments!!
Yum!
I made that recipe last year. I let it "cure" for about 3 weeks and the flavor was a little better. I also used my vitamix to blend until smooth, i wish i had made it a lot smoother, it remained slightly grainy until the last jar. It always tasted like it was missing something, maybe more wine and less water than the recipe calls for and more salt. I'll try allspice that was suggested in another comment. This was my first attempt at canning but not my last.
1st thing comes to mind is a little horseradish
