I really enjoyed your chat, Ellen, and I'm certain it will help a lot of your subs. I love your idea of a "weekly" to do list as opposed to a daily list that ends up with things getting bumped up to the next day anyway. I definitely have to pace myself. I find I can work about 20 minutes until my low back pain kicks in to the point of tears and I'm forced to rest in my recliner. No two ways about it. Thankfully, I recover quickly and within the next 20 minutes to a half hour, I can usually get up and do another 20 minute chore. This from a woman who raised three kids on her own and did all the grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and yard work after working a 40 hour week. It was tough but I loved it.

Our washer also sounds like a jet engine preparing for takeoff. I believe it's the ball bearings which after looking into our machine aren't worth fixing. So, we will be buying a new one in the future, but hoping it is still a little down the road.

Lists….I have one big list… a few pages I keep in a binder. The list is divided into 4 catgories… rooms, garage, outside areas and management. Tasks are written down where applicable. I was just overwhemed with doing it other ways. So easy for me now and I recreate it seasonally. I use post-it notes to write and flag an immediate priority in one of the catagories.
    I tried meal planning – failed. 90% of the time I don't want what I plan…gave up. 😵‍💫
I finally allowed myself to start tossing glass jars & bottles once the content is used. Hard to do but I have enough of them. I do save some of the bottle lids. 😊 I hope you find a good deal on your washer. Sometimes you can find a program that provides them for free in your state if you are low-income. Sadly. I found the program after I bought my washer…then soon after a new dryer. 🙀 Also check Habitat for Humanity.

Something might be stuck in the washing machines filter, it is really easy to clean that and with some luck there might even be a video on youtube teaching people how to do that. I really enjoy the videos 😊

It’s a great idea to have lists! I have a few list we do a couple of things today I bring my kids into the situation and what usually would take me an hour to do on my own takes me roughly about 20 minutes sometimes a little less I give each kid a test to do and we could knock out anywhere from 3 to 4 things per day. We just downsize our basement and did a total overhaul tons of trash bags to the trash some things hit the curb for others to pick up I only have two more things downstairs that I actually need someone to come and pick up for me to take to the trash and I also have a secondary washer that I’m going to make sure it’s ready for my mom when she needs it here in a couple of months so she doesn’t have to go out and buy yourself a wash

Wonderful video! I decided against what I was going to do this week and made an entire crockpot full of chili that we can use with chili dogs, for the kids, homemade chili and bowls they could also do chili spaghetti or make chili Mac with it. I also made a large portion of beef taco meats for the kids, I will use black beans from my meat replacement choice and I made the kids a huge pan of spaghetti with garlic toast so now they have the entire weekend and part of next weekend in the beginning days to eat up all the leftovers before I have to cook again.

Hello Ellen, this weekend on my list is to do all my laundry specially heavy stuff like towels, blankets , bedding stuff jackets to take advantage of the nice warm weather and line up outside my laundry instead of using my dryer machine , picking up the leaves to save it for my compost and wood sticks branches to burn it when I cook outside on the campfire 🔥, about my house is just way too small that gets cluttered easily and that drive me nuts! 😁but I don't get stressed about it and of course having dogs doesn't help because when I picking up their toys they wait for me to be done and at the next minute they want to play with all the toys at the same time so the organization doesn't last much so I just smile 😊have a great weekend as well of all your community 🤗
