The best thing I ever did was to start my kids working with me in the kitchen. I have two great cooks now that they are all grown up. (I get the best dinners for my birthday and mother’s day!🥰).

I see people are upset about the whole knife situation you guys I’m sure Jesse has had many times where she has properly showed the kids how to use the knives trust me in Latino homes we learn from about 5 years old how to cut up veggies and even cook in the stove top Jess isn’t doing nothing wrong with having the boys help her as long as she’s there to supervise

I'm all for letting children be in the kitchen but the knife was stressing me out. I get stressed when I chop stuff up, God forbid letting children so young do it. But they have to start somewhere.

Yes yes yes & yes!!!!!!! I’ve been craving homemade noodle soup (with homemade noodles) but I hate how long it takes to make homemade noodles, so glad I watched this video I’m going to Walmart tomorrow and buying bags of those! Also your video was so cute, you knows it’s a good recipe when other people crave it through a screen haha

I wanted to let you know Jessa that you can eat the tops of the celery. My Italian chef ,Lydia took the celery tops mozzarella balls or shredded mozzarella and walnuts with dressing and make a good salad. Justvyhe celery tops.

Jessa… I would love to try your recipe but I have acid reflux so I'm a little sensitive to garlic. Does the amount of garlic you used leave a very heavy garlic flavor? Could I cut back on that without sacrificing flavor?

I don’t let my 6 year old use non kid scissors let alone a knife, because I don’t trust his judgement. It gave me so much anxiety watching the kids do it but I feel your parenting is really great and it is giving them great confidence as well

I'm so proud of you. The last time I caught up with you, you were saying your sisters were the cooks and that you'd never gotten into it, so you didn't know how you were going to go. Just look at you go! My mum never let me help her in the kitchen, so I loved letting my little boy be my assistant. It's very special to be trusted like that as a child.

You are an amazing mom. The confidence and maturity that Spurgeon shows is incredible for his age and shows what children are capable of when they are taught properly.
