    Thank you for the rub recipe! I've found that it helps to get the chicken out of the pot if I make a couple of "slings" with stripes of foil. Fold it in half then in half again, over and over until it's about 2 inches wide. This makes them sturdy. Make them long enough to fit under the chicken, then over the sides of the crockpot. Place them in the crockpot hanging over the sides of the pot. Put the chicken on top. Place the lid on top (with the slings hanging over the sides. When the bird is done you can easily lift it out of the pot without it falling apart. Then I run mine under the broiler with the BBQ Sauce to make it crispy!

    Trying this but didn't have brown sugar… Apparently my husband used it all and didn't tell me so white sugar instead. Also using sweet mustard peppercorn BBQ sauce. Hoping it turns out yummy.
