I never made anything using meat before…but I want to start here since it's sorta easy. How do you prepare the chicken breast straight from the packaging? Do you guys wash it or how do you clean it before putting it in the crockpot? :S

Making this now. Smells amazing, looks amazing and I love the quick and easy video! Straight and to the point! My biscuits have been cooking with the lid covered for about an hour and 20 minutes now and just now starting to brown a bit. It’s been on high. I only needed to cook my chicken 2 hours or so and then was able to shred it easily.

Ok, I have a bunch of Rhodes rolls I need to use. I wonder if this could work similarly if I put them in after rising? PS I would go buy some biscuits but after work laziness overpowers this urge.

Did everything in the video except the peas, forgot to add it 🤷‍♀️. Anywho I used pillsbury buttermilk biscuits instead, and I also added a little flour to thicken up the broth mixture . The biscuits does take longer than an hour as mention by someone in the comments . Oh and I used skinless , boneless chicken thighs instead of chicken breast.

How do people not realize that a dumpling isn’t supposed to have the same texture as a fully cooked biscuit. It’s supposed to be soggy and full of juice. Come on people!!!!

Literally the best thing ever. Quick to whip up! I substitute the veggies in this recipe for corn and, no onions for my husband. It’s so good and, we prefer over traditional chicken and dumplings. Also, I’m a little more heavy handed on the seasonings. It’s a must to try!

Okay so tried the paper towel trick with little to no luck and was swapping paper towels every 5 minutes. Very wasteful. Put the biscuits in the crock pot for 45-55 minutes depending on how long you have the lid off putting all the rest of the ingredients in.. (letting all the heat out) after cooking the biscuits for 45-55 minutes, throw it in the oven on broil for 3- 5 minutes. Browns the top perfectly! Keep an eye on the broil tho because they’ll burn quickly if left too long. Enjoy!
