Was that a 400Āŗ oven on broil, or (convection) bake? Also, is that Atlantic salmon? As a born and bred Seattleite I am partial to the Pacific salmon. Atlantic always seems too soft and trouty. But that looked decent…

CARRRLA! love you, looks incredible. Question: can i use a stainless steel pan for the salmon if i don't have cast iron? or would this be major salmon skin stick city?

Looks very delicious, great recipe Carla.
Personally I like my salmon a lot more rare than that. Crispy skin still but pink in the middle so I'd probably skip the oven step and just give it a minute on the other side after cooking it most of the way on the skin

A good friend of mine wants me to make her a Sea Bass Dish as she knows I can cook and have dine so before cooking stuff when she came over. I hadnā€™t thought of the exact dish as yet. However, Iā€™ll use this Lentils Salad dish as an inspiration for what will be my Sea Bass & Lentils Dish. I love Salmon, but for the get together dish it will be with Sea Bass. Maybe will add a Roasted Medallion of Orange to it to jazz it up a bit as Citrus & Fish hard to go wrong. But Iā€™m making it my dish.

Thank you for this recipe. I have Asperger's so I have aversion to food based on texture, taste, etc. and I have never been able to enjoy salmon but after this I was able to. I didn't use the lentils but the salad is immaculate though I subbed the green apple for red ( I also added bell pepper and cucumber)I can't express how big of a deal this is for I am exploding with gratitude šŸ‘

Would you do a Halibut recipe? That is my favorite fish. I usually cook it with salt, cayenne pepper and olive oil in a cast iron pan, and cut fresh Thai chilis on top of it.

Love lentils, love salmon, love tart flavors. I will also try this on halibut with some adjustments. I have made your pasta e fagiole by the way. Quite good but a bit thick for our taste. Just diluted with a bit of veg broth.

This frequent lentil maker was surprised to see oil go into the boiling pot – (but honestly, it you, so not that surprised). What does oil in the water bring to the lentil party?
