    Cook it sous vide.. 173/24.. peppercorns, basil leaves, dry onion, coarse salt, onion powder, garlic powder. You don't lose the flavors to the water when cooking sous vide… better than my mom cooked… also, the membrane peels more easily…

    Personally i prefer to cook my tongue minimum of 5 hrs on stove top for a 3+lb tongue and 2 1/2 hrs with a pressure cooker for a tender tongue. then you can create your own recipe from there.

    It's just a big muscle…right? It didn't look well cooked to me. (?) Was it chewy? Please describe what it tastes like and its texture for us. I will try it in my Instant pot, maybe pressure cook it for 1 hr. along with all those aromatics. Then take it out and shred it for tacos.
