A good sub for the potatoes would be thawed frozen hash browns. When I was sick with pneumonia several years ago, this is how I fed my family, no bacon though. It was about all I could do.

I heard about Brent but don't know your name, Ma'am. Loved the Trump Pense sticker on your fridge. Love your Christianity too. Your recipes are durned good too. Good luck and bring your recipes to youtube. I'll be looking for more. My house is Mexican but I see a lot of crossover. Thanks. Eric from Houston

My grandmother cooked on a wood stove until I was a teenager. I learned to operate the eye covers to add wood, and leaned to cook many things on it. Love those memories.

I saw a medical tip about burns in a woman's mag about 15 years ago that will surprise you! Pour pure bleach on it and it will stop the burning process immediately on contact. I was in a restaurant in Jackson TN with the train cars outside. A young man rushed out of the kitchen and jammed his hand into a barrel of ice/bottled sodas. I told him to pour bleach on it and he came out two minutes later raving about the result. (Even if you put ice on a burn, it keeps burning the flesh below the skin.)
