Wow that’s nice you got it for free. FYI. You have the Cosori pressure cooker. NOT the Instant Pot. I have the Cosori too. I loved it till it broke after only using it for a month. Of course it broke on a Friday night. So I have to wait to call customer service on Monday. Hopefully I will be able to get a replacement. I do love the speed and the flavor of everything I cooked it in.

Appreciate the honest review . Just got an instant pot and still learning . With the instant pot natural pressure release you don't touch the nozzle , if you move the nozzle it's a quick pressure release . Not sure if it's the same for that brand . I'm definitely going to have a go a roast beef now ! Thanks

Thanks for sharing! I have an Instant Pot and LOVE IT! It is a little intimidating at first, but as you said using it you will learn and it will become so Easy Peasy!!! I have had so many successes! I'd be glad to give you some recipes! I have a Pinterest account under my name and one of my boards is Instant pot recipes I've had success with! I am a total foodie and my Pinterest account is mostly food boards! (It's under Donna Divis) I've made in my Instant Pot: Chili, Beef Stew, Meatloaf, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Minestrone Soup, Chicken Soup, Vegetable Soup, Corn Chowder, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Pot Roast, Mashed Potatoes, Kielbasa and Sauerkraut, Chicken Breasts, Chicken Fajita Soup, Steak tidbits and Gravy, London Broil, (which is a very tough meat and it is BUTTER after cooking in the Instant Pot) Even though mine isn't Cosori the principles are the same for cooking! I found when searing if you add 1-2 tbsp of oil that helps with the browning aspect! Also, on my Instant Pot if you're sautéing you hit the Saute button wait till it reads Hot then add your oil to get the best sear! (It makes the pan screaming hot) it says to always have it least 1 cup of liquid to your pot so you don't burn when cooking. Then when you're done searing you hit Cancel and then press your Meat or manual button to start cooking. Natural release pressure means you don't release the valve. You time it for however long the recipe calls for and leave it sit and then if the pressure didn't totally make the red button go down then release and put on vent to be able to open the lid. Believe me for a first timer I was very impressed! You did so much better than I did! The buttons are general cooking times programmed into the pot. You don't have to use those. A lot of the time I use manual so I can chose my own time. It takes a little playing with but it truly will become easier! I also to help myself have a little notebook that I write down not only the recipes but the tweaks I made so I remember for next time! I LOVE your channel and if you need any help please don't hesitate to ask😎

Great review. Glad you had the opportunity to try it and share it with us. Not sure about these modern pressure cookers, as I just have two old fashioned ones of different sizes. This looks great and I love that the inside is stainless, rather than non-stick. Take care and looking forward to more meals made with this as you have time.

Search Instant Pot recipes in Pinterest… meatloaf was amazing. I use it regularly for making rice, quick soups, easy chicken (use the natural release to keep juices & not dry out meat). It’s amazing

Yeah, Kiera!! I was wondering if you were interested in an electronic pressure cooker. We got our 8quart Instant Pot back in November and my husband and I LOVE it!!❤️❤️ Yes, read the manual. A natural pressure release should be where you don't go to the valve and release it; that's an instant release. It should count down for you automatically for however long you need the natural release;then turn the steam valve to do the instant release. As for recipes, they are never ending!! Lol🤗🤗 We watch, on YouTube, Pressureluck with a guy named Jeffrey from New York. We've made a lot of his recipes and they have all been winners. There's also some things we've bought off Amazon to go inside the instant Pot like a trivet, egg holders, stackable pots with lids, very inexpensive. We've made hard boiled eggs that are done in 7 minutes, mashed potatoes, tika masala, etc. we can chat and I'll get you fixed up with all the info I've learned!! You are gonna love this. It has saved us so much time since the Hubby and I both work all day. And with you being so busy with the kids and working at home, it's gonna make your life so much easier!!😘😘 I sent you my number thru messenger on your FB page. Call me. Love ya, honey!! I'm so happy you got this wonderful appliance.❤️❤️

I think that natural pressure release is just letting it set untouched for the 10 minutes and then moving the knob over to release any remaining pressure. It looks like you released the pressure prematurely

When I first got my pressure cooker and had to read the manual, I said OMG! You have to be a rocket scientist to figure this thing out, but now this is the only pot I use. My food is always tender and amazing. I love cooking my sauce in it and I love stuffed peppers in it, not to mention pot roast, it is just so good. I am glad you decided to take the plunge and agree on this sponsorship. It is going to be your most favorite cooking vessel in your kitchen. I know you will thoroughly enjoy it Keira. Happy Cooking!!!! ❤️
