My family does not marinate the beef shank or brisket. Just parboil then again with the seasonings then sliced afterward. Also add beef tendons and oxtails for extra flavors.

If you add salt to fresh water to wash vegetables, you are an idiot!! The only thing that accomplishes is that it wastes water- making it in un-recyclable. It’s OK to use sea water.
