LOL Your husband is so adorable and such a hard worker in the kitchen! I want to try a couple of these but without the cilantro. I don't personally care for the taste. And maybe leave out some of the spicy peppers in the first salad. The beets and carrots looked amazing all by themselves! Thanks for sharing. I'm interested if there's difference when you cut the carrots before boiling or after boiling? Cutting them before would shorten cooking time. Thanks!

Do you have separate kitchen utensils, pots , dishes etc and spaces for meat and milk?
You can put the blanched tomatoes directly into an ice bath. This cools then very quickly and stops them from continuing to cook.

Mr Firefly has great knife skills! The spices in your salads make me think of a salsa I made this weekend with black beans, spicy tomatoes, corn with bell peppers, cumin, garlic and fresh cilantro.
