We did something similar for our Christmas tree as children by stringing cranberries, pieces of cinnamon stick, popcorn and dried apple slices. Smelled sooo good as we made it, then after Christmas we broke the cinnamon off and put the rest outside on the trees for the birds to eat. Your snowflakes were beautiful! Thank you for sharing your holiday preparations.

I used to use coffee filters to make snowflakes with my boys. Don't have any here or I would be making some with you!
I love your homemade decorations! That garland is very charming as are the paper snowflakes. I used to make the snowflakes all the time.
One year I made hundreds of them for the Real Estate office that I worked in.
I strung them on various lengths of fishing line and hung them from the framework for the drop ceiling.
It looked like a magical winter wonderland which was the effect I was going for since we were offering pictures with Santa. I also created the backdrop for the photo sessions.
