The recipe I found called for 2 cans of cream of something soup and one that I used was celery. My family always put celery and onions in dressing that we made from scratch so the cream of celery soup works great. ☺️
With such good prices at Aldi, it's strange for them to charge $1.99 for stuffing. You can even get the Stove Top brand at DT for a mere dollar. 🤨 You might want to keep checking for the Aldi brand whenever you go again and grab some while they have it in stock. 😉
This is such a good comforting meal and good any time of year. 😊
You talk about cooler weather but it was 90° Monday in Texas. But we're supposed to have a front come in tomorrow and it might get down in the 70's. But that's a perfect temperature down here. 😋

i make this alot. chicken stuffing casserole, but add a small amount of peas and carrots. sometimes instead of the cream soup i add a can of chicken ala king..

Thank you for showing this recipe on your channel! This is seriously my favourite thing to make in my slow cooker . It is almost impossible to mess up. For my version – I add a layer of chopped up celery and raw onion to the bottom of the crockpot and FROZEN a chicken breasts. Yes frozen. You don’t even need to defrost them. It just increases the cooking time a little but I’m OK with that. I add a cup of sour cream instead to the creams of chicken soup and I put it on top of the chicken. The stuffing ends on top as the last layer. I like the texture of the stuffing better at the end with this version.
Can also use gravy instead of soup. Lower sodium and usually lower fat. I use jarred or canned all the time
I usually make leftover turkey stuffing and gravy after Thanksgiving or even in the summer
I just almost the same on Sunday
Oh darn. I left my slow cooker at our cabin. I need to make this for an easy meal next time we head there. Sounds perfect for dinner after a day of hiking in the mountains!
