So if you don't want to add tumeric, but want some color to your soup, add some (washed) onion skins when boiling your chicken. You know that outer layer of onion that you'd discard when preparing your onions? Keep that on the fridge and use it in broths like this. The skins don't add much flavor (I don't think so), but it gives the broth a yellowish brown color.
I use a baking hen or if I can't find one I'll use one or two fryers depending on size. My grocery store usually has baking hens though. A good homemade chicken noodle soup is great when you're coming home at night from a cold day in the deer stand.
My Persian friend said if you fry the turmeric in a pan for 1 minute and then take some broth to dilute, will ease the taste of the turmeric..he says it makes the turmeric taste better!
Skin of the onion can be boiled with chicken it gives it more golden color especially when its rosted. Nice recipe thanks and i glad that not all americans cook semi-prepared food.
It's nearly similar, like my grandmother did. She uses a corn chicken and here we get special soup veggies, a combination of some, for creating the broth. Also the cooking time should be over 3h. A doctor told, that it changes some chains and so it's more healthy. We serve it, when sb. is ill. Don't know if it is a myth, but so they told it, and a real doctor confirms it. Later with some different veggies and an apple in it. Also the skin keeps inside, but i like to dry fry the skin and use it as a topping. Also it is important to not to queeze the garlic in the press, but just crush it with a large side of a knife. And later we have some special noodles for chicken soup here in the stores. Maybe try them out. "Riesa Fadennudeln Hartweizen". Maybe you'll find something similar. But beside these small changes, this is grandma Approved!❤
he didn't remove the dirty foam .. that's a No No ! "all week long straight out the fridge " is another no no … you can feel any soup getting not so fresh after only 3 days i wouldn't risk a whole week for sure
Not much of a soup guy usually, but i made this today and it is pretty darn good. You may have awoken something in me, Ragusea. The primal urge for soup grows day by day.
Would recommend those vegetables with beef rather than chicken.
So much food wastage
I love your videos 💪💪. Thank you

This video has been viewed a million times… and the most replayed portion by a landslide is the Raguse-ad XD
"baby you got a stew going" on this channel has got to be one of the most perfectly slotting memes I've ever seen
It makes me happy to know that someone else other than me still thinks about that "baby you got a stew goin" line from Arrested Development

Bonus points if you sautee the veggies first, particularly the carrots and onions.
Aside from chicken, obviously, the real essential for me in chicken soup is lots of green bell peppers. It just adds a great flavor.
Definitely add a small splash of vinegar! Makes it more tasty

"Why I season my chicken, not my broth"

…that's more of a broth than a soup, but it looks good…
Is it possible to add cream to this?
Yooo arent you the mf that seasons his cutting board
Cooking meat intimidates me but this looks very easy and you get a lot of value from a whole chicken vs buying in pieces
wait did adam just make a long simmered food without wine "omg"
When are we going to invent illogical technology that let's me take food out of youtube videos? 🙁
Oh you should have watched that chicken off 😭
Why so lazy?
Thanks for sharing I’m excited to try this incredible dish on my family ❤
9:13 i love how the spoon stops when he says "baby you gotta stew going" like he just realized what he has done

I’m convinced the only people who actually know how to cook are my mom and grandmother
Turnips in chicken soup are divine
Add rice on the side and some lime then it becomes 'soto ayam' which is an Indonesian cuisine lol
Never ever drink unfiltered tap water.
