Hi my friend. I absolutely love making these meat pies of any kind. I have leftover turkey that I roasted this past weekend. My husband and I are big vegetable eaters. I always have a dab of this and a dab of that leftover. I put it in the freezer until I get enough to put together a pot pie. It's wonderful, and nothing gets wasted. And I save all my drippings just like you. Even my bacon grease. That's flavor to me. Thank you Bonita and Raymond, for showing people what to do with leftovers. Take care..

What a great pot pie! It looks delicious. I may try this one tomorrow. I need a cooked chicken, first.😃 When Max eats this one I am sure he is going to want to move a bit closer to you guys and be your neighbors. Your demonstration is so helpful. Thanks a bunch. We hope you and Raymond have a beautiful day. Your friends, Shelley and Max

Oh Baby! I LOVE me some meat pot pies. Beef, Chicken, Turkey….they're all amazing. And a terrific economical way to use up any leftover meats. I mostly use a bag of frozen mixed veggies, ,maybe a small can of mushrooms, canned beef or chicken broth and 'Better than Boullion' beef or chicken base. My 'lazy guy' pie crust uses the food processor to do all the work and turn out a ready to roll dough in a minute or two. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.

For years I've tried making pastry (won't say how many years LOL), I have trouble – so I'm going to try yours. Could I use that one for pies also. Thank you Bonita and enjoy your week.

I make this right in my roaster, i just save extra gravy from my chicken ,cut my left over chicken up put it in, then i add the mix veggies allover the chicken, and i cheat a little, i use a ready mix flour, just add a little water and layer it over the veggies and cook, make sure you have enough gravy, 25 minutes later and you got a chicken roaster pie . lol
