Wow Marion, you nailed our dish…
OMG I just made it and it really yummy. Thank you Marion.
I have all the ingredients but the only chili’s I have on hand are Jalapeños and Serrano peppers. Can I use Jalapeño in place of red chili?
Chicken adobo is perfect with shrimps.
Holy heck! That's flavorful chicken!
If your 3 kids under 7 and your hubby all mumble 'I love this' while they finish off their plates, I know I've hit the jackpot. This rarely happens in our house. This is the first time I'm trying one of marion's recipes and it did not disappoint!
Ms marion you should try the original recipe of filipino adobo dishes…
Here is how i made it :
Ingridients :
1 Kilo Pork
1 Whole Garlic
1 Whole Onion
3 pcs. Bay Leaves
11/2 tsp Ground Pepper
1 Cup Oyster Sauce
1 Cup Soy Sauce
1 Cup White Vinegar
Mix them all…marinate it for 30mins.
Then cook it in low fire…wait until the pork becomes tender…while waiting…put 2 cups of water at a time if the sauce is almost dry already…then if the pork is completely tender…wait the adobo sauce to become thickened & almost dried….
then its done…
Its ready to taste…
We called it here as…
The Dried Adobo…..
That was really great…love it
PRO TIP save some of your adobo then in the next day deep fried it
🇵🇭

It is delicious too if you don't take out the chicken until the sauce became sticky. Best to eat a day or two after. Hehe. Thank you for sharing our food. Lov yah!

I am Filipina and really looking forward to this version of Adobo. This was my favorite dish growing up!!! Thank you, Marion!!! 🙏🏾❤️
I tried this recipe yesterday, i never taste adobo before, it says 3/4 cup vinegar on the written recipe(I use white wine vinegar ), it came out way too sour, i marinated them over night, so i couldn't neutralize it with sugar, water or more soy sauce, so for people never make this before, double check your seasoning portion, i will try it again next time with way less vinegar though, it looks so good. Thank you Marion
I cannot find red chilies in my town. Any suggestions for a substitute?
The version of adobo that I truly love is spicy with coconut cream and fresh pineapple that has been caramelized. Oh yeah!
