Way to use all the parts of the corn…wonder where you heard about that jelly 😉😘
I have always cut my corn off the cob for 40 years and you using the Bunt pan is Genius ! I had never thought of that LOL it's so true you learn something everyday .Thanks
I am just like you about going to the doctor lol, but I'm glad hubby made you go!
The easiest way I've found to shuck corn is cut the bottom off after it's cooked in the husk. I usually microwave an ear for about 3-4min depending on your microwave. Then with an oven mit or pot holder I cut the bottom off just at it's widest, sort of the hip area, then just squeeze the ear out of the husk. It will remove the silks as well. That method should work the oven roasted husk on corn too. I would attach a link but not sure how lol, but there are many YouTube videos. Just search, microwave corn no shucking.

Oh Carolina that cut is a lesson learned I had an incident back in the days when I worked I had a can of soup for lunch this was before pop top cans I went to use the can opener that was at work and it was a bad can opener so I took a nigh to try to pop the can open I stabbed myself in the hand my boss had to take me to the hospital I had to have 7 stitches and a tetanus shot for kudos. Carolina you are so inspiring I know how to can anything in water bath but I am soaking up all your knowledge on pressure canning I am definitely going to start pressure canning soon. Take care sweet lady and I look forward to your upcoming vlogs.
You're such a great teacher Mama !

Such a great use of this corn . Thank you for sharing. I love your channel ❤
I love dehydrating roasted or grilled corn, it is great to add to soups and stews.
I watched the video twice now once earlier and now…close caption was all good lol
I love corn on the cob roasted on the grill…with just a little char on them…yummm. I’m glad you could fix the corn issue with the mold..as I am deathly allergic to penicillin, and was told to avoid literally anything that had mold on it…I would have had to get rid of it…unless someone else wanted. Fresh corn is so good, and the sweet corn crop in our area was basically a disaster here…so, we didn’t have a lot of “fresh” corn on the cob this summer unfortunately. Also, not saying it’s dangerous to use!!! Just what my drs have told me about moldy stuff…so I’m terrified of it. Anaphylactic shock is super scary!!! (But mold on stuff for people who aren’t allergic, is nothing to particularly worry about…as far as I know.) Thanks @Mama Baird for showing the canning…I really need to start up some of that! My mom did it all the time, and I don’t remember the details…but thanks so much! (I also had no idea there was such a thing as a “pressure canner” my mom had that giant pot boiling on the stove with the Ball jars being put in, and if it was jelly/jam, she would melt down food safe wax, and cover the top with that…I don’t know why? But that’s always how she did it, and it always lasted until the next produce came in the next year (year round stuff wasn’t as available at stores when I was a kid.)
Mama Baird, you are such an inspiration!! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us and not being afraid to try new things! So encouraging ❤️ Glad your thumb is okay and that you went to the doctor. I worry about things like that too🤗 And thank you thank you thank you for the pressure canning lesson. I've always been intimated😬
New subscriber to your channel and loving it so far 👍🏻, like you I also get foods from the foodbanks, I'm disabled and don't get much in assistance. Love to can and hubby built me waist-high raised garden beds so that I can grow us some foods. I'm getting quite a bit of fruits and veggies that don't last more than a day. I do a lot of dehydrating of foods. We aren't getting much as far as meats go here in VA. But if I can't use it, I give things to an unemployed friend, that doesn't have a working/reliable vehicle or help son, DIL & granddaughter with extras. I don't feel bad for doing what I'm doing. TY for the videos and glad that I found your channel.🙏❤️❤️
I love that you use the cobs in stock. I hadn’t thought to do that. I always roast them with husk on too
Do you have school age babies?
