Hey Rick & Linda..I recognized Jeff & Bear from when he was camping with Campulance Man & Lefty. You guys got me wanting to explore Montana..I've mostly seen a bit of the Western part and traveling I-90 to and from Sturgis. Want to get up in the North Central part and check out the Missouri River Breaks. Good to see Linda doing better !

Man that's a ton of good food. Pie all looks so yummy. Only a little jealous. That lake camp spot is so gorgeous! I'm only a little bit more jealous! LOL. OH I would be madder than a hornet that I still had an oil leak. I feel for you. I don't like taking vehicles to mechanics either. But some jobs are just beyond the tools and equipment we have. Definitely gotta love the convenience of our little cargos fitting in places that those large RVs just can't. Oh my gosh! 😆Linda's umbrella hat. What if there's a big wind gust? She's going to take flight lol. Linda cracks me up. AGREE! We've met amazing people through our camping adventures and YouTube channel. It's great.

I thought many times over the last several years that you seem like old friends. It's your friendly nature and easygoing lifestyle, coupled with a love and kindness for everyone you meet and talk about. I'm sure everyone who watches you thinks of you folks as old friends too.

I think this is one of your best videos. Great life story, of travel and adventure, friends and family. Lives well lived. Did "Huckleberry Chris" have a YouTube channel. I love watching Mark's videos. He will be missed.

I had a u joint issue on my Yukon, mechanic replaced it, a little while later it was bad again and I had a leak so he was going to rebuild it and fix the leak, but he got a different transmission and it never shifted right. I use to do most all of my own work or for a while I had a good mechanic, now days even the dealerships are not worth going to. In the late 1980s I worked at a dealership and learned a lot from some really good techs, now they all seem like they want to use the parts cannon and see if it fixes the issue.
Hope Linda's eyes get better, stay safe and healthy.

Rick and Linda you have made us all feel like close friends when we watch your videos and that is a very special thing that we can all use in theses times we live in. Sure am missing the old Shoestring so much here in Colorado. Brian

Rick that is exactly why I became a mechanic! Went to college too (AA in auto, and one year certificate for motorcycles) And of course now they make them so a guy can't even work on them without a computer…

For Jeff not having an annual route/itinerary, he sure seems to head to the Dakotas and then Q, in convoy with David (The Campulance Man) each year lately. Then after a couple or three months of them and their dogs camping near each other, they part ways.

I was not shocked to hear you lived on a sailboat when young, but WAS shocked to hear you sailed it PNW to Hawaii and around the South Pacific…. with a baby no less! Back in the days before GPS, satellite phones, and accurate weather forecasts for remote ocean areas, that was pretty daring of you two! No wonder that the worst that road trips can throw at you, is taken in stride like it's nothing.

I think you need to tell a scary story or two of the sailing, as well as some of the amazingly good times you must have had.

I'm looking forward to meeting you two someday, and I'm hoping we all stay healthy for long enough that we all of the good people on this channel and others, meet many of each other. My own main in-person contact with the nomadic community is via my occasional visits with Box Van Dee in Quartzsite.

i had to have a high pressure fuel pump put in in downtown LA. ain't i lucky. 2800 buckazoids. then when i got back to SC my heater was not working well. i checked the water level and it was low. every week i had to put more in it. then it was every couple of days and then everyday. i took it to a man and he said when they installed the fuel pump they did not tighten the hose clamps. so i was losing water. cause of their mistake. again 330.00 to get fixed. i feel your pain cause i been there done that

That doesn't sound right. Remanufactured GM Transmissions are about $3200 – $4100 plus labor $2000?. A GM reman transmission should come with the pan, and a new gasket already installed. When doing a fluid service only use the GM gasket, not the aftermarket one that comes with replacement filters. I hope you actually got a GM Reman trans and not just your old one rebuilt but the price sounds like rebuilt. If you have a BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) in your area report them. If you find out they didn't do the job correctly you may be due a refund. Good luck, Mike GM ASE Master Technician.

Hey y’all. Nice video. We liked the umbrella hat.
And really enjoyed your history of traveling. Wishing you many more happy years.
Oh, and check the oil pressure sending unit on your truck. It might be your trouble.

I enjoyed your video . I like the umbrella hat . It leaves both hands free . It might be unhandy in the wind though . I would be disappointed too if they had not fixed the oil leak when they had it . I hope you update on the oil leak . I'm curious where the oil is coming from . As good old Roy would say '' Happy Trails To You " 🌵

🤔 All that hat is missing is a little fan and solar panel 👍👍👍 Thanks y'all. You know Rick, I struggle to not give up! Healthcare is as impossible for me as finding an honest mechanic 🤷 Still, my Heavenly Father is the rock upon which I cling to 🙏🙏❣️

What a Nice and Heart-Felt Video. Linda, your words describing how you both feel about the friends you've met along the way, and those whom you have yet to meet in person But have made you feel good about a new friendship via the airwaves. Yes, I feel the Same way about Y'all, something special, because you both are Real, Honest and Caring. I feel very comfortable as if I've known you both for a lifetime. Obviously, I'm looking forward to the time we can meet up in person. (I hope I don't scare you off, I'm so hideous) And thank you for sharing about your Fabulous 50th. anniversary and your family, and your adventures. Really Cool Stuff. In any case, Rick, regardless of how practical that Umbrella Hat may be, No Rick, save your dignity and stick with your Fedora. Fashion Statements only last a short time, in this crazy world. We count on your good judgment. God Bless Always. (Linda, finally I'm sending off that overdue manuscript. You will have it mid-week) Vincenzo here.
