How exciting for you Lulu! My Mom moved from NJ out to WA when she retired from working. I moved out here back in 1992. Made many trips flying back and forth. Unfortunately, she passed away back in 2019. But I got to have her living only 5 minutes away for 7 years and we had so much fun together. I also lost my husband back in 2017, actually Dave and my Mom were sick at the same time. Both were diagnosed within a month of each other. It was a hard time for me because I live with a painful nerve disease and am disabled because of it. I went to every appointment, stayed with them during their hospital stays, treatments, tests, you name it, neither 1 was ever by themselves. I finally feel like I need to start living again and I love road trips, even though they make me hurt more. I’d keep my house and do shorter trips, come home for my meds and dr.s appointments. Both of my boys are grown and live here, so when I’m home I’ll spend time with them. I’m gonna go watch that video of your visit to Iowa with your daughter. I can’t wait to see how you decorate your next space! I’m so happy for you! Make lots of memories!
Instead of spray painting, you should see about having an auto body shop paint them, It will be a more durable finish.

Lulu I think so too, It's going to be good, it's going to be great! Is there anyway you can use 2 small piano latches to secure your 2 pieces of wood to the outside of the cabinet from bottom? The tray would never accidentally be knocked from under stove and wood pieces can be folded up with a magnet, small hook or velcro. It is safer, what do you think? So I know that heartwarming feeling when your grown child invites you to share their space. It's the best. Also, every time I see your van I notice something new. Love your dream catcher! I have a butane camp stove exactly like yours, and I'm very interested in that 3-sided metal windbreak you have that fits around it. Where did you get it? From that fabricating nephew of yours?
