Good review. I would have liked to have seen the grill cooking space measured. Also, the upper grates appear to have a lip between the two pieces which seems strange.

Great review and I love the concept of being able to use real wood, but it looks a little flimsy. Like you said that top grate is in 2 pieces, which does not make sense, especially if you have a large brisket. How is the thickness of the smoker? Do you think it would hold heat in the cold and snow?

I'm a new owner of a Camp Chef, so it'll be quite awhile until I can justify an upgrade. But if I keep loving the smoker, I think this is such a no-brainer. Also thanks for reviewing the clean up. That's always missed from reviews but it's so important.

I have been a pellet grill guy for a very long time, I have an original Traeger when it was made in the US before they shipped it to China. And I absolutely love my Traeger although I am cooking on old technology and Iā€™m considering an upgrade, I had planned on getting the new Traeger, what are your thoughts on the new Traegerā€˜s versus this camp chef.
That being said, I thought this was an excellent video simple straightforward great information!

Now I just have to figure a way to convince my wife I have got to have this cooker! My wifeā€™s family think Iā€™m a grill master when they eat my ribs. Iā€™m only using my Weber gas grill adding a pellet tube to add the smoke. Imagine what they would say after tasting ribs cooked on this fabulous grill! They would think Iā€™m a genius!

I think they are on to something with the wood chamber. Very innovative and will probably spark more innovation in the pellet cooker market. Nice review, Thanks!

I think Camp Chef just raised the bar with that smoke box!!!! I had a pellet grill in the past that had a way to burn wood chunks and it certainly added more smoke flavor!!! Great job Mike!!

Ps.. Could you please ad a compressor to the audio and set the limiter -4 db? Plus drop an adjustment layer on the timeline and bring the midtones up 8% but other than that the presentation was spot on!! šŸ˜‰ hahaha

Iā€™ve ordered the 36ā€ pro should be here end of the week. Jw is that cover a new design for the pro or is it the same cover for the woodwind model before?

I'm sure you have to be careful – but can you comment on the flavor comparison between WW Pro and "that gravity fed cooker that everybody talks about?" Liked and subscribed ~ thanks for a great vid!

I have the Heavy D from Smoke Daddy which does something similar. My issue with it is that it increases the temps considerably. Even with the settings on 160 and vents fully open, I am unable to maintain temps below 250 while the wood is burning. Is the Woodwind able to keep low 200 temps with the extra wood/charcoal burning?

Iā€™ve had a wood wind for several years. It replaced a green mountain grill that I wore out. So Iā€™ve been using pellet grills for a long time. I planned on replacing my current grill with a newer model in the spring because of added features like the pizza oven. Now with this new update being able to use chunk wood itā€™s a done deal. Once the snow is gone I will be ordering the 24 inch camp chef pro.

Very good review, I've been thinking about buying this one to upgrade from my smaller one. Thanks for the detail review, I really like the feature that you can put some briquettes in there for extra flavor. That looks different from some of the other ones that I've seen.

Interesting my woodwind is only like over a year old. Been using smoke box with wood chips or smoke tube with pellets to get more smoke. But i see how convenient this is. Thanks for the detailed demo/reviewšŸ‘. Now iā€™m thinking about upgradingšŸ˜

I have a Camp Chef 24 Deluxe with the sear box, not the sidekick. I like a lot of the features like the 22 pound hopper, four wheels and I can put my sear box on it. My qurstion is in regards to the bottom grates. Are there not, perhaps, aftermarket cast iron or stainless grates available?

Every time I see you demonstrating a new cooker it's as though you're trying to spend my money! LOL I've not been able to do much grilling the past couple of years due to some health issues but maybe next year. It looks like quite a terrific product.
