    I like to use short ribs and cut up chuck roast, one thing you should always do when cooking with meat that has bone in it, rise the meat well under the facet because the butcher uses a band saw and cutting and it will leave bits of bones shard particles and you'll taste them in the broth when you eat the soup. Also include celery in the soup when I make caldo. Thanks for sharing you video.

    I am craving some caldo de res now! Good video. I usually use red potatoes so they hold their form and I usually drop in the cilantro and cabbage at the end of the cook since I don’t like those two overcooked.

    My jefita use to make this caldo on 98 degree hot days in LA 😂 now I live in Philly, and how I miss her cooking. Of course ain't no real mexican food out here, I cook my own and I need this shit! Haha. Keep it up homie. 🇲🇽

    Kirby, when I was a kid, we used to go to Pancho’s Mexican Buffet. Just average Mexican food. But I loved their stews. They were so good. I would get a serving of each, plus two of each enchilada, as these were good too.
