Love your recipes! The secret to the brown sugar chicken is really in searing the chicken in a pan, then making a sauce with all the other ingredients in the pan and coating the chicken in it before baking. If you want to take the shortcut and just bake, it needs to be baked at 425 for 15 minutes, then reduce to 400 for another 30 minutes or so. The brown sugar won't caramelize or "melt" at 350 no matter how long it's cooked.

I'm thinking of seasoning a turkey like this. I bought a couple when they were super cheap around Thanksgiving. Now that we're self quarantined, we're going to get creative to use up the stuff in the deep freezer!

That sound when you cut into it, sounds delicious!!!

Marlene doesn’t like the skin on chicken, so I may try it with boneless thighs, mixing the mustard with honey and olive oil to recapture some fat and hold the moisture. What would you think of seasoning both sides, then cooking on a rack over a baking sheet?

Must try this! Our new stove gets delivered tomorrow, ending a tedious month+ without a reliable oven. Seems like every recipe I perused lately starts off “Preheat your oven to 350 F”. Argh! Frustrating!

THAT LOOKS DELICIOUS ! I would have thought the brown sugar would have melted. It looked just like it came out of the bag on some of the pieces.
