Staying at a Disney villa is expensive. Buying organic is expensive. Γ€nd, although eating at McDonald's almost every day is very unhealthy for you, I have to agree with you on eating meat. Nothing like a big, fat, delicious bacon cheeseburger, or great lip smacking Texas bbq'd ribs, or wonderful deep fried chicken; along with some good veggies … Yum, yum, yum! 😁

We have sweet corn and regular pees. We are in South Dakota so it's probably less common in Florida. State by state is different. It's like 50 different countries. Each state has different tastes. They wouldn't like South Dakota lol, we like our meats!!! We have billboards reminding us to buy beef lol. And August is sweet corn and watermelon.

Some States in the USA require that you pay for plastic grocery bags, most do not. I live in Florida and we do not pay anything for plastic grocery bags. Americans love baked beans, we just don’t eat them on toast. Baked beans in the USA are usually a side dish served with BBQ, especially during the summer time. There is also no sales tax on food items, only on prepared foods like deli items. As to their total sale price, keep in mind they did not purchase any meat as they are either vegetarian or vegan. Cost of meat makes up a big portion of the grocery bill, junk foods and snack items can also be pricier than fresh vegetables and dry goods like rice, beans, and pasta. Plenty of people in the USA eat very healthy diets. There are always healthy options at the supermarket. As to their initial confusion upon entering the store, there are multiple entrances to Walmart. They must have entered the home goods section of the store which is on the complete opposite end of the grocery section. They had to go through the toys, pharmacy, home goods, clothing, and electronics sections before even making it to the grocery section. Walmart was not always a grocery store, it wasn’t until Walmart Supercenter was introduced that the grocery side was added. We still have a Walmart in my town that is not a Supercenter and only offers a few aisles of grocery items, mainly snack foods, canned foods, drinks such as soda and water and a very small frozen section. They first started as a clothing, electronics, home goods store. In my town we also have a Walmart Grocery that just has groceries, which is a newer store and concept.

They say their isn't a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables because they think all Americans are obese. They may start thinking the same about uk given most say your on the way of beating us on the obesity race.

"They've gone to America AND THEY DON'T EAT MEAT!" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I grew up on brisket and pulled pork. Beer can chicken is phenomenal. I can't live without melt in your mouth flavor bombs!

we eat plenty of veg and fruits here but I do understand the stereotype. I think it stems from us having so much fast food. I don't eat fast food, after I hit 30 I changed so much of my diet because food hits different after 30. πŸ˜‚

Bro, i'm a Floridian, and used to live in Orlando. Needless to say, I've stayed at Disney in everything from their budget hotels all the way up to their luxury resorts. My favorite? We have a 30 foot travel trailer camper, and stay at the Fort Wilderness campground! Not only is it fun, but saves you so much money in not only the accomodations, but doing what they just did, and have the ability to cook at the campground (food is the 2nd biggest expense at Disney). I'm an Army veteran, and live on 10 acres in rural north Florida. If you ever want to learn how to use "pew-prws" hit me up! We'd be more than happy to house and feed (im a former chef) you during your stay! πŸ‘

When she says she keeps getting distracted i had an epiphany. Who is taking ques from who here? Walmart or our government because America is definitely the land of distractions.
Secondly when people say we dont have much "fresh fruit and veggies," is because there is a price paid for abundance. There is infact an abundance however most is imported from other countries like south America for example and it is not, "fresh," because they spray the food with a wax like substance to keep it presentable and preserves it till it is finally purchased. Our veggies and fruits lack in nutrition due to the fact.
And a lot is wasted because Americans wont buy bruised fruits or vegetables.
If you looked into how much is wasted your jaw would probably hit the floor and be followed up with that there is no reason anyone in this world should be going hungry.

No, bananas are not at the "stuff" section. They are in little stands in the middle of the floor…along with a bunch of other fruits and vegetables. They obviously weren't very observant and turned the wrong way. lol
You always make comments about the size of things in our grocery stores, saying that they're huge. That plastic container of organic leaf greens, like spinach and stuff, you said was huge. My question is: Aren't there families in the UK? I mean, that container of greens is meant to feed a family of 3-5 at one sitting. There are smaller containers for one or two people. I just don't understand the fascination people from other countries, like the UK, have with the size of stuff in the US. It's all pretty much normal, to us.
    Dave's Breads are πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!
Texas Toast is NOT a desert. lol We usually eat it with either pizza or pasta. It goes great with spaghetti and lasagna.
No, Lewis…you're absolutely right. Why come here, to America, if you're not going to try our fantastically delicious meats, especially BBQ? I don't understand why vegans and vegetarians even keep living if they're not going to eat yummy, healthy, brain growing foods like meat and fish? I mean, what would be the point of continuing and being miserable the rest of your life?🀣🀣🀣🀣
Just out of curiosity…the person who told you the US doesn't have a big selection of fruits and vegetables…umm…what the hell did they think we grew, here? Cotton candy? I mean, c'mon…use your head, people. We are one of the biggest growers of food in the world. Of course we're going to have probably the biggest selection of fruits and vegetables anywhere in the world!
What they said isn't exactly true. We call sweet corn sweet corn and regular corn just corn. We call sweet peas sweet peas and regular peas just peas. Actually, come to think of it, I've only heard peas called sweet peas in movies and tv shows. Everyone, that I know, just calls them peas. We do, however, have both varieties of corn: regular and sweet. We also have feed corn but, don't try to eat it. It's for cows and pigs and such and hard as rocks, even after boiling them for a couple of hours. Don't ask me how I know. lolπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
Yes, they are most definitely going to just eat a salad every day. It's obvious, now…they're rabbits masquerading as people!
Better get used to eating refried beans. If you like Tex-Mex, there's a lot of refried beans used in Tex-mex. You have Toxic Hell, umm, err…I mean Taco Bell, right? Well, they use refried beans in a lot of their menu items. Their bean burrito is just refried beans and cheese in a soft flour tortilla.
You were surprised about the Pokemon cards but, you can even still get Magic: The Gathering cards, here. And Pokemon. AND Dragonball Z. AND a myriad of others including all the major sports like, of course, Baseball and Basketball and Football. There's even Hockey cards.

They are not kidding, they are not exaggerating when they say they are lost. In the USA, I have not been able to find the exit. I have not been able to find the cashiers. The aisles are not straight front to back nor side to side. Sections are set at 90 degrees to each other. It was like walking in a maze. I believe I walked at least 5 minutes before finding my way again. The aisles are not straight front to back nor side to side.

Tax is different. Food item that are processed (cut strawberries, mixed salads, etc) are taxed. This is added to the total at the register. Non-processed (strawberries, grapes, etc) aren't. At least here in Texas.
